New Player
What are some good mid game stabilizers to play around? I honestly just get boned in the mid game every single time I try to play. I've watched a couple videos but they never really tell you how to stabilize.

I'm coming over from Tekken. I've tried to enjoy T8 but I really cant at this point. The new Virtua Fighter game looks visual stunning and im hoping to learn the game mechanics before it comes out. What would you recommend for a new player getting into the series? I also have a couple questions im hoping can be answered. How important is movement compared to a game like tekken? How knowledge checky is the game? Thanks to anyone who responds.
Edit: beginner character recommendations are also welcome
There was data put out by content creators a couple months back where they tracked all their games played for the year and between the 2 of them roughly 66% of games played were won through combat damage. Is there a reason people don't play fogs? This means that in 2/3s of commander games and probably even higher in lower bracket games, a fog would extend your game by at least 1 turn. In my experience 1 turn is usually the difference between winning and losing a game of commander. In all my games of commander in pretty sure I've been fogged like twice. The number of games I've won with something like inkshield is probably like 20+. I mean i understand it feels bad to have a fog in the 33% of cases but statistically a fog is going to be useful during a commander game.
Its obviously the first day so it's hard to say anything definitively but I'd say that Kuni seems to be the second strongest online character behind lidia. I'd say her changes are worse from a pro play perspective but she's even more of a menace online. I had a lot of fun. Went 30/44 on the road from TG to GoD. Her movements is really strong which I enjoy. Overall I think she's gonna be one of the most popular characters for the the next season. I wouldn't be surprised if she stays in the top 5 pick percentage for the rest of the games lifespan.
Quick Tips Against Kuni:
- if Kuni is spamming f4 into set 2 you can sidestep right and launch (don't mash she's plus 3)
- don't let kuni players do d1+2 into into fc d1+2 she's zero on hit so you can dick jab her out of any potential mixup or if you have a hard read she's gonna flowchart you can just throw a launcher
- if the kuni is going 1,1 into KAT you can sidewalk every option from the stance
- she is plus 3 after d1 do not mash or you will get hit by ws2,1
- I didn't see any Kuni players do this but if they end the combo with ss2, the kuni player can use d2 to cover every option except for wake up crouch block (eat the low, the mixup is way worse and heavily slanted in her favor)
- if the kuni does d1 as her wall ender it's a mixup between her fc low and ff2 (i would probably eat the low as to not deal with ff2 oki)
- if you see the kuni player do f3+4 she can backturn parry so watch out for that and just grab her if she's trying to flowchart you
So I just finished s2, do I just pick up with "Rascal does not dream of a dear friend"? Or is there something else i should read first?
I literally picked up Lidia 3 days ago and made it to God of Destruction with a 78.5% winrate after not playing for 2 months. And nearly all my losses were to god of destruction I or above players. The amount of time you can force your opponent to block is insane. I guess what I learned is im glad Lidia players collectively share 3 braincells because only 5% of Lidia players make it to God of Destruction and it makes up about 10% of the playerbase.
Im assuming worst gun skin and worst knife skin are ones you own. I dont dislike these skins and use them in my rotation but they're probably my least used ones. Similarly breeze is not my worst map in terms of winrate but i hate it. For anyone who wants the template just go to the website in the corner and search valorant. Its the first one that comes up.
5 color splash seems so powerful in draft. The color fixing in this set is so plentiful and the payoffs are actually there. Ive played in 2 drafts and won both of them off of this pile of 5 cards. Arcane omens specifically just straight up wins you the game if you can cast it for 3 or 4 on turn 5. If you havent tried this yet I highly recommend trying to splash colors in simic. Even if you arent playing red or white just run a one of on the lands so you can hit the 5 color payoffs. Just be prepared (haha) for dirty looks when you make them discard their hand on turn 5.
