Taking my Horus Heresy world eaters into 40k, advice needed!!!
Basically, I have 3000 pnts of Horus Heresy world eaters. They look fantastic, and I am very proud of them but it's hard to find horus heresy players where I live. I have tons of units that just can't be translated into 40k...but I would love to have advice on what I can proxy stuff as instead. I don't mind making a few unit purchases if I need to to round out the collection for a better 40k list, but I would like to keep my shopping list to a minimum if that makes sense.
Here's what I have:
-big beefy terminator close combat consul (maybe run as a slaughterbound?)
-a master of signals (I don't think there's a way I could feasably run him in a 40k army list but I'm really proud of the conversion God damnit)
-kharn the betrayer (definetly gonna run as 40k Kharn)
-2 squads of despoilers (easily can be run as khorne berserkers)
-a unit of bloodletter daemons
-a 10 man unit of jump pack rampagers (no idea if they'd work, but maybe just run them without the jump pack as berserkers?)
-red butchers (planning to run them as eightbound)
-a castraferrum dreadnought (could run as a helbrut)
-a leviathan dreadnought (maybe run as one of the daemon engines? Or is that a stretch?)
-two rhino transports
-a predator tank
-a land raider
-2x 10 man squad of traitor militia. They are themed as a voidship boarding party. Their weapons don't really line up well to be Jakhals... But do you think I could get away with it? They are equipped with solar auxilia lasguns and bayonets.
- 3x quad mortar rapiers
-3x jet bikes
-a traitor imperial knight
Now given what I have, I was thinking of just buying a daemon prince model for 40k and kitbashing it slightly to fit with the aesthetics of my army to round out a viable list.
But also, given what I have, do you think I'd have better luck just running them as vanilla chaos space Marines? I would like to use as much of what I have as I can as it's a beautifully painted and modeled army. Would love to hear thoughts.
Looking for a medium to large indoor plant to fill this space, would love advice and suggestions
I want a medium to large indoor plant to put next to this chair, and behind the end table. I don't mind if it spills over the table a bit. The area gets indirect light from the window next to it just behind the couch throughout the day and I generally keep my house at about 71-75 degrees fahrenheit during the day and I prefer it a little colder at night. What's something that would look good here and be relatively easy to care for? Would love to hear your thoughts.
This might be a reach...but does anyone know if it is still possible to get this miniature?
The figure is called The Artillerist by a smaller miniature company called Full Borer miniatures. It seems the company is no more, but I wonder if the molds and sculpts were sold to another company in the process of it closing down? This model has been my white whale for years, I don't even know how I would go about hunting down one on eBay or second hand. I know this is a reach, so either way- it is a beautiful miniature and I hope I atleast jogged everybodies memory on its existence 😅
My list going into 11th ed (casual play, mildly competitive)
2000 pnts Steel Legion list. This will mostly be for casual games, but I also don't want to get absolutely shredded in competitive play. Trying to find an even balance between a thematic steel legion list and something that will actually pull some weight. I'm not trying to be excessively sweaty, but would appreciate any pointers as I've been out of the game for a few editions now. Cheers :)
