"cult classic" mandarin movies?

so, as part of my journey in learning mandarin, i'm trying to watch at least one movie every week with no specific requirements to what they have to be. HOWEVER, i'd love to get through a bunch of the movies that those in china may consider "cult classics". my plan is to watch a bunch of disney movies dubbed in chinese, and right now i'm watching 山中傳奇 (legend of the mountain, 1979) and have already watched a dubbed snow white.

my only asks is that you give the characters of the movie's name, the year, and the english translation so that i can easily find it on letterboxd or other movie review sites! thank you anyone that helps out <3

so, while beginning to study mandarin, i realized that once i started chatting with native speakers, translating my name directly just wouldn't work out well. i watched a video about how to translate your latin-alphabet name which was super informative! i wanted to see what this subreddit thought of the names, and how they could be changed/improved to better fit the meanings i was going for.

initially, when looking at names, i tried my best to keep to the original pronunciation. the original names are hayley (given name) and bodhi (preferred name & online alias).

for the surname, i picked kǎi, to represent victorious. i'm a relatively competitive person, and my real life surname starts with a K, so it felt fitting.

hayley i translated into 华灵 huá líng, meaning splendid spirit. i like to think of myself as a very spirited and friendly person, which is how i came to those meanings and characters.

for bodhi, this is the name i use most often so i really wanted it to reflect who i was totally. 力心 bó xīng, meaning flourishing heart. my reasoning for this is that i want people to know that my heart is in the right place when i'm making decisions for myself or that may effect my life. maybe something meaning "good intentions" would have made more sense, but like i said, at the time i was trying to stay as close to the pronunciation of my actual names as i could.

so, how did i do? what could be improved about these? i want to know honest opinions!

so, this may be a odd request but a long timw ago i found a book on pinterest and the poster made it out to be a retelling of the story of virgin mary. that intrigued me and i started reading it today. needless to say, that isn't what it is.

i'm hoping that there may be some kind of book out there that may be a retelling of the virgin mary! any genre as long as romance isnt the main focus! i do have a love for scifi, horror, and fantasy though!
