anyone know what "Queeps" is?
lots of film crew activity on Smith today, signs say "Queeps".... anyone know what it is, or any fame-o sightings besides the usuals?

the first music video I've ever directed dropped today! shot on 500T (sans 85B filter and corrected in post), with an Aaton LTR and an Angeniuex zoom lens (can't remember which). the opening and closing titles were also done on a 16mm animation stand. originally filmed for a class at Mono No Aware, scanned in 4K by Negativeland, edited in Premiere.
fun tidbit: I live a couple blocks from Ethan Hawke, and while we were shooting the scene at the cafe, he walked by with his dog and said "nice camera"! sadly I had a little bit of problem with the film jumping around on a shot I only did one take of, but not bad for only the second time I've shot anything at all. enjoy!

rare theatrical screening, selected by/Q&A with Kenneth Lonnergan. can't make it, and since it's so last-minute I'm giving away free to first taker
hello! I just bought an Angenieux 8-64mm from a Beaulieu 2008, with a single auto-exposure motor. I was easily able to remove the motor itself, but I can't for the life of me remove the ring it was mounted on, the one that goes around the C-mount and holds the motor to the aperture.
my Schneider 6-66 has screws around the whole Reglo-Zoom assembly so it could pop right off. the 8-64 has holes in the same place that look like they are for screws, but they're filled in with some kind of soft black metal. I drilled them out as far as I was comfortable with and nothing happened.
I haven't tried undoing the screws on the aperture ring because they are insanely small, smaller than the smallest size I could find at the hardware store which is 1/32". before I order an even smaller screwdriver, I'd like to know if there's something obvious I'm doing wrong.
as it is right now, there's not enough clearance to attach a C-M43 adapter to use it with my BMPCC, unless I use a 2x extender. I know it's possible to get it off because I've seen plenty of other 8-64s with it removed, but maybe those are a different model of the lens and these early ones are not removable?
any help would be great!
