Most restaurants that "have a vegan option" have one sad thrown-together plate that needs six substitutions and still tastes like a side dish. That's the exact thing that keeps people thinking plant-based food is boring. We're a small Seattle group (Animal Project Buddies) trying to fix that from the restaurant side.

The project: we're building a resource that helps real restaurants add plant-based dishes that actually work for their kitchen, their cuisine, and their inventory. Not "here's a tofu scramble," more like recipes and guidance that fit how a working kitchen actually operates.

What you'd help with:

-Curate and add recipes across different cuisines and styles -Reach out to local restaurants to learn what's actually stopping them from adding more plant-based options -Jump in on other parts of the project wherever your skills fit

Good fit if you have professional cooking experience or know your way around plant-based recipes, plus basic comfort with docs and spreadsheets. Bonus if you've got a marketing or business brain, or if you happen to know a restaurant owner who'd let us pick their brain.

Vegan Hacktivists is building software that helps animal sanctuaries manage day-to-day care — feeding schedules, cleaning logs, volunteer coordination — so caregivers spend less time on admin and more time with the animals.

We're looking for an experienced UX/UI designer to take ownership of the design direction. A lot of groundwork is already done (UX flows and brand direction are largely set), so you'd be building on a solid foundation rather than starting cold — though there's real room to shape and improve it. You'd work closely with our Product Design Director, who'll be around to advise, but you'd be driving the vision.

Description: Clean Meat Alliance, 501 (c)(3), is trying to build a resource/strategy board game built around alternative proteins, called Meat on Mars.
