Scheduling cat euthanasia

Our 15 year old cat I believe may be at the end but I’m having a hard time determining if it’s time to schedule the appointment.

He had surgery 2.5 years ago to remove an osteosarcoma from his foot. The margins showed they did not get all of it, and the vet told us it would return eventually and estimated he had 1-2 years left. He’s been fine until about 6 months ago when the tumor came back. He’s been losing weight and has dropped from 19 pounds to 12 pounds in this time. His belly seems distended towards the sides and is hard to the touch. He goes outside once a day for about an hour (supervised, doesn’t leave the fenced yard) because he absolutely loves it. As of last night he has some kind of infection because he has green crusty snot, a little eye crust and an obvious ear infection. I’m assuming it’s from pollen or something outdoor related. He sleeps a lot but eats fine, drinks, and begs to go outside and purrs when we pet him. He seems happy but I know it’s hard to tell when cats are in pain.

I plan on cleaning his ears and snotty face tonight, and I have ear drops from my other cat that I’m going to put in his ears. I’m hoping it clears up in a few days. But I’m worried that it either won’t clear up, or it’ll just be fixing an acute issue when he’s obviously declining chronically. I’d hate to call it quits and put him down now when he still seems happy, but he really seems like he’s declining fast. I hate making these decisions.

I just crunched the numbers on villager move ins/move outs

ACNH has 413 possible villagers in the game. You start the game with your initial 2 villagers and then grow to 10 villagers. On average a villager offers to move every 15 days but of course that may be more often if you say yes to a camper moving in. If you played the game every single day and allowed a villager to move out or move in every single time the game offered, it would take you roughly 15 to 17 years to have had every single possible villager live at your island at some point. This would be playing the game naturally of course without any time traveling or villager hunting.

There’s no way I could just start a new game and play daily for 15 years to accomplish this, but it would be really cool to time travel and make an attempt to get every single villager at some point! :)

Who do we think is the most likely to play next year?

I see so many posts about who we want to see play, but realistically who is the most likely to headline and or preform in general?

I know Slipknot is a common one, but they’re on a break and supposedly recording new music so I highly doubt we will see them next year. Anyone who headlined this year won’t be a repeat for 2027. I think big names like SOAD and Metallica are unlikely especially since Metallica double headlined 2025. Korn maaaybe. A7X I think is reasonable. Beartooth, Knocked Loose, Motionless in White I could see headline or co-headline. I definitely see Lorna Shore being brought back as well as Sublime. I think Spiritbox would be a good one but not to headline. And I think a lot of people want Sleep Token but I just don’t see them headlining anyways.

FB shouldn’t allow reviews from people who didn’t buy the item

I’ve been cleaning out my basement as well as my parents house and have posted and sold so many things on Marketplace this year. I’ve gotten all 5 star reviews which is great because it seems like when you have a good rating the algorithm favors you and I sell more things. (Not sure if it’s true but it feels like it is) I’ve gotten 3 bad reviews and all 3 were from people who were mad that someone else bought the item before they did. For example, I posted some Halloween decor last week. I had someone who lived an hour away say she wanted it and would come get it next Saturday but we did not have a set time or place to meet. I did not mark it pending and never told her I would hold it, I just said let me know Saturday morning what time you’re thinking and we can set something up. Someone else messaged me this morning, didn’t talk me down on price and said she could come buy it right now. Of course I took that offer. She came to my house 45 minutes later full asking price cash in hand and it was a done deal. I messaged the OG buyer and told her I was sorry but it’s first come first serve and someone already snagged it for full asking price but thanks anyways. She said “no worries” and then gave me a 1 star review saying we had solidified plans for her to buy it and I sold it out from under her. I replied to her review and just said I don’t hold items, it’s first come first serve and someone bought it same day and gave me more money for it then you offered of course I chose them over you.

People are so annoying. It’s MY item. Like why do you feel entitled to buy it next week and expect me to keep it for you when you never even asked if I would hold it? Lord knows if I marked it pending and held it for her that she would no show next weekend. I hate people who do that. Lol. End rant!

Won a giveaway on IG, only received half of the prize. WIBTAH if I asked the page if they plan on sending the second half of the prize?

As the title says, in February I won a giveaway on IG for a fan page of my favorite band. This page is about a year old and has less then 5,000 followers. The person running the page did a simple giveaway of a few of the band related items including a vinyl and some other miscellaneous goodies/trinkets. I gave them my address right away and was told they would ship the items next week.

3 weeks go by and I had not heard or received anything but did not want to be rude and ask. I ended up sending a message anyways and just worded it as I was making sure I didn’t miss a delivery while I was out of town. They said they haven’t sent the package yet but would by the end of that week. Another 2 weeks go by, and I get a message letting me know the package will come in two separate shipments and they will send me the tracking info asap. I never got tracking info from the page, but was able to see on USPS that I had an incoming package waiting to be sent to me. Another week or two later I get the first small package with some cute goodies like stickers and jewelry. I messaged the page and said thank you so much and that when I get the vinyl I’ll make a post with all of my goodies and tag them to help promote the page.

It’s now been almost two months since that interaction and there is no sign that I am ever getting this vinyl. I won it in February, 4 months ago. I’m trying not to sound greedy because ultimately it was a free prize that I was super excited to win, but I’m also disappointed and a little irritated that I was told I would get something and I’ve basically been forgotten about. I get that vinyls and shipping cost money but if the page was not able to afford to give it away, then why advertise the giveaway and announce a winner? Maybe it was just a technique to gain more followers or engagement. I don’t want to message the page again asking if it’s being sent because that feels tacky and rude but I’m genuinely curious what’s going on. The page is very active on IG as well so it’s not like they just gave up on the page. WIBTA if I messaged the page one last time asking if they still plan on sending me the vinyl? Or should I just give up.

Appropriate foot wear next year?

So this year I wore my platform move converse. They’re the low tops but have a squishy thicker bottom than standard converse and are super comfy. However I literally could feel my feet and toes going numb if I stood in one spot for more then 15 minutes! Absolutely brutal my feet still hurt. What did everyone wear shoe wise and how did your feet hold up? I wore these shoes to Ink last year and had no problem but I’m wondering if the difference was due to standing on grass versus concrete. I’d love to go to sonic again but between walking a mile for parking, standing all day and walking in the venue I genuinely don’t know if I could do all 4 days again. This elder emo wants to have fun but I need comfort lol
