Motorcycle Mechanic

I need a motorcycle mechanic, or just someone who knows what they are doing and wouldn’t charge me an arm and a leg. Honda Navi was working perfect, got bogged out in the rain, drained the carb, was working again and now won’t start, I’ve been through everything I can figure out. I’m totally frustrated.

Anyone know a person that doesn’t suck and can help a guy out?

Frustrated

I’m so frustrated with my Navi. Since it dying after riding it in the rain I got it running again, but then a day later I can’t get it started. I want to just set it on fire and push it into a ditch.

I’m going to get some starting fluid, which was suggested to me, but if it gets going with starting fluid then what? If it doesn’t start with starting fluid… then what?

Navi Bogged Out in the rain yesterday

So, I think I splashed through too big a puddle and my Navi bogged out…

Would start and go for a second, wouldn’t rev, and would cut off.

I’m told I need to empty the carb bowl and it should come back to life. Stupid me installed a big ol 22mm NIBBI carb and the drain screw is not properly accessible. So I have to remove it or find/make a tool to use the screw.

Have any of you run into this?

Do I need to just be more careful with puddles in the rain or just avoid the rain all together?

S23 Logo color changes

If you didn’t know the s23 logo changes with use. This is after about 150 miles 12 miles a day.

Looking for Nerdy Vehicle Owners

Having recently completed my Akira inspired Honda Navi and knowing there is a Tardis Truck somewhere in town I am wondering if any of you know folks with Nerdy Vehicles that would be up for the occasional meet up / con appearance.

Finally

Ok after all kinds of nonsense I finally got it running, I’m sure I need to tweak some stuff, but it starts and that’s good enough to put it back together.

This is idling high, right?

Edit: adjusted carb some, idle better.

Local places for graduation announcements

Howdy, my daughter is graduating next year and I know I’m WAY ahead of things, but I figure a bunch of people just did this…

Is there a good local place to get graduation announcements made?

What are the pros and cons of removing that thick rubber around the carb?

(If the Roger Waters song “pros and cons of hitchhiking” played in your head when you read this post’s subject, let’s be friends.)

More info: regular street driving, no off road, still have a rear fender, albeit smaller than the stock one.

(If the Stone Goddard song “Fits” played in your head when you read the word albeit, seriously, let’s be friends.)

Drained the gas, put in fresh no ethanol stuff. Plug looks like this, getting a new one, I need to clean the carb ya?

I think I’m going to change intake, exhaust, clean and tune/rejet the carb. Debating getting one of those 22mm carbs while I’m at it. What do you all think?

So, the bike’s not starting. I haven’t done anything mechanical to it, just electrics and aesthetics.

Up until putting it back together this weekend it was fine, even started without an issue most of the day Saturday. Then, out of nowhere it’s full of sound and fury signifying nothing. Choke on or off. It just makes all the noise and doesn’t turn over.

2023 51 miles on it, barely ridden, was working fine. What troubleshooting should I do?

Ok, so I did the scooter swap shop AC/DC kit. I didn’t end up going with the demon eye headlight because I didn’t like it when I put it in. I painted the windscreen, side pieces, and the storage box. Put on a tail tidy and the saddle bag frame. Oh and of course the Kaneda inspired stickers.

Next phases include clutch and sliders, s23 exhaust, polling intake, new tires painting fenders and stuff.

It’s not starting all the sudden, which is weird because I didn’t do anything to it mechanical. So I have to figure that out before I start driving it daily.
