It's 1 a.m. Just heard another one.
I've been hearing fireworks occasionally for the last week, probably. Usually 1-3 a night.
Pride fireworks? Late juneteenth fireworks? Early 4th of July fireworks? I'm so confused.
This is located in a Chicago dentist's office. I came across this photo by pure chance while searching for a new provider. I don't think this photo could be any more liminal if it tried. This is the highest quality photo I have of the room, but if I end up going to that office I'll get a new photo.
A friend of mine (22F) broke her foot about a month ago. Three bones fractured when a heavy dish plate was dropped on it on a moving boat.
She's been wearing a boot for about a month and was put into a more comfortable boot yesterday because she was in an incredible amount of pain and her foot was very swollen. We hung out for several hours afterwards, standing and walking for a lot of it (all with the boot on).
At some point, she told me about how her foot has been found not to have healed at all since the last time it was X-rayed at least a couple of weeks ago.
We got back to her place... and she took her boot off. Said she takes it off when she's home, and to sleep. Could this possibly have anything to do with why her foot's not healing?
Apparently they were expecting her to only have to wear it for a month.
I'm super protective of my lungs but sometimes I prefer the softer, more immediate high of smoking than that of edibles. Obviously any smoking is not great for your lungs, but what are my chances of fucking up my voice, airways, lung capacity by smoking occasionally?
For context, I've taken edibles for years and I'm trying to branch out. Forgive me if I sound like a total baby.

I need recommendations, y'all. My feet hate sneakers in the summer because of my blood pooling and hyperhydrosis—they just get too hot and sweaty to manage. I love sandals in the summer but refuse to wear them without my compression socks because my feet always end up looking red and veiny.
Does anyone have recs for sandals or slides that won't make me look like a total doofus with socks on?
