The first time they encounter Wanda in the mall, she kicks everyone's butt.

In the end, Professor Xavier says he failed them, because he should have taught them how to fight someone like Wanda.

But could they possibly do so? Her powers are disproportionaly greater. She has her own powers and also can control everyone's powers at will with no difficulty.

Even if they are smart and very coordinated, she can easily overpower them all. She can only be beaten by telepathy, by Rogue sneaking close to her and touching her, or maybe by this Dorian boy who can turn off anyone's power.

(Evolution is all I know of X-Men, except a couple movies)

I've seen this sentence online, and it seems ambiguous to me. One can interpret it either as:

#1: "The T-Rex lived closer to the iPhone, than the Stegosaurus lived close to the iPhone."

#2: "The T-Rex lived closer to the iPhone than he lived close to the Stegosaurus."

Pragmatics, of course, tells you that #2 is the correct meaning. But the sentence alone seems to favor #1, to my ears.

If I were to write a sentence with #2 meaning, I would write it as:

"The T-Rex lived closer to the iPhone than TO the Stegosaurus."

What am I missing here?

"fair hallowed dead one": can I say "fallen one" too, or is this only for those who fall in a fight of ferds?

"yorehalls, or kinghalls": museums or palaces; is there a better word for palace though? Halls makes me think of one-room dwellings, not a many-room skillfully made building.

Is there an Anglish name for Amsterdam?
