recs for boring meals that won't trigger binges

ive also heard that called a "low dopamine" diet. i want food to be boring and unstimulating to help fight the urge to binge the minute i start eating anything. any recommendations?

needs to be:
- plant-based / pescatarian
- low effort
- prioritize fiber, protein, whole foods and high volume
- 300-400 cals for meals
- triggers / need to stay away from: sugar and sweet treats, cheesy / creamy foods

workout class recs for nervous beginners?

hi bitches xx i've recently gained a little weight and the healthiest / best way to feel better about would be for me to start incorporating movement in my life. the only exercise i get is i'm a diehard walker, but i know there's other muscles i need to work.

i like the accountability of going to a class as opposed to a home program, but i don't know where to begin and frankly embarrassed to ask - it seems like all my late 20s friends have been going to classes for years and i missed the boat.

i have no idea where to go? what kind of fitness? what's a reasonable price? i want to be in an environment for beginners with an instructor who understands that. i'm a regimented person so if i start something realistic and enjoyable, i will be able to incorporate it regularly into my life.

Experiences with NAC / Berberine / Chromium?

Either taken independently or all at once? Do you space them out during the day or before or after meals? Should I expect tummy issues and how to avoid them?

I'm in general skeptical of supplements (and a little scared due to my sensitive stomach) but this winter after some bad blood work i started taking iron, vitamin d, b12 religiously before bed and six months later my blood work has done a total 180 (no stomach issues at all). If they helped elsewhere in my life, was wondering if others could help with BED which for the last year + really taken a toll on my physical and mental health. Appreciate any guidance and experiences!

Deceased Cat on Riverside Drive E

I am sorry for the gruesome post but I wanted to share in case someone is / knows someone missing a grey a cat. Unfortunately there is a deceased cat on Riverside Drive East, across from Claremont Playground in a parking spot. I reported it to 311 since it's pretty graphic and there are kids around.

Does your body really adapt to a certain activity level?

I've taken close to 10k steps a day for 6 years (started during lockdown for sanity reasons and became the only form of exercise i could stand / adapt into my daily routine without thinking twice above it).

However, it's no longer enough to help me maintain/lose weight and I've actually been steadily gaining this year. I do realize diet / cico is the key to weight loss but just thinking in terms of steps, if nothing else changes, does the body really adapt? Or is it an urban legend.

If so, curious path forward. Is it taking a break? Increasing steps? Transitioning to running?

How to talk to a PCP / What will they do?

Making a post based on a comment I left on another thread - I've really been struggling. A year+ ago I gained a little bit of weight and it triggered a relapse into binge eating and now I've gained what feels like a significant amount of weight for my body. My clothes don't fit but more important, my mental health is suffering. My 2026 resolution was to get this under control and we're nearly half way through the year and while I'll have a few good days in a row, I've made no progress.

This is maybe the third time in the last 6 years I've gone through an episode like this. I feel like I've tried all the typical coping tactics I've read about but fear I can't overcome this without the help of a medication. Unfortunately, I don't have an established relationship with a doctor. I met with a PCP for the first time this winter as part of my health journey and I really liked her, she helped me take steps to address other health issues I've been having but I'm afraid if I bring it up to her on our second appointment (next week) she's going to think I'm seeking a GLP1 for vanity reasons, as I am a petite standard sized person. I went a very long time without seeing a doctor so don't have medical documentation of weight fluctuations.

Would love to hear how people broached this topic and what the provider's response / next steps were.

▲ 1.4k r/Nails

last weekend i got these done and repeatedly asked and showed the tech where i wanted them filed down to, clearly she had her own vision and bet, these ATE DOWN. however within just a few days three were about to break clean off. went back today and she very nicely re did three nails and shortened all of them (they still eat imo).
