Only got 4% raise after first promotion? What should I say to my manager in my 1 on 1 tomorrow?

I got hired as a new grad in July 2024. The company has a July 1st promotion cycle, and I just got my first promotion, but I only had a 4% salary increase for my promotion (I was making $104k before). This seems well below average because CPI from July 2025 to July 2026 was above 4%. Additionally, I do know that other people who were promoted last July as new grads got a 9% increase. How can I approach this in my 1 on 1 tomorrow?

UPDATE: I just realized that on the Appraisal site we have where employees and their managers fill out the yearly appraisal, my appraisal was filled out last year (and I remember my manager talking to me about it), but he did not fill out my appraisal this year. Only the ratings I gave myself are showing and it shows that my manager's appraisal (which was due months ago) is past the due date. Is this why I didn't get more than 4% despite being promoted? Maybe the system though that no appraisal meant bad performance, and only gave me the minimum bump for a promo? I could be wrong in how these things work.

Is this a safe layover? Currently the cheapest flight from DC to Boston

I'm usually a JetBlue guy and do the DCA-BOS shuttle on them or AA, but both nonstop on AA/B6 were expensive on this day. This was the cheapest option, but there's a 34 min layover in Philly. Is this a safe layover?

Why doesn't JetBlue fly to LCY instead of LGW?

Obviously, LHR is the most desirable London airport, and if they got a 3rd Heathrow slot, I'm sure they'd get rid of BOS-LGW and replace it with a second BOS-LHR. But since they have extra demand for London flying in the summer and don't have an extra Heathrow slot, wouldn't it be better for them to fly BOS-LCY and get more premium revenue?

Mint seat switch strategy/etiquette?

The four of us didn't have enough Mint certs to upgrade all of us to Mint for TATL, so we booked two itineraries and are hoping to be able to buy a Mint upgrade at the gate for two of us.

If we are able to get the upgrade, can we ask the gate agent to switch our seats to sit with the rest of my family? If the gate agent cannot switch seats, would it be ok to ask two people to seat switch with us? This is an A321LR, so I'd assume any swap between seats 2-12 would be fair, but I'm not sure. Lol

JetBlue Announces Kent Hospitality Group and Four Clovers Hospitality Group as New Mint® Culinary Partners

Not sure if this is good news or bad news, but I do like the current Mint catering. From what I Googled, this wouldn't be worse food, so fingers crossed

Why is JetBlue 387 from BOS-LAX delayed by 3 hours?

Seems like this is the first commercial flight that N2188J has flown since November, but the plane was supposed to be moved from JFK to BOS hours ago? What is going on? Is this a maintenance/crew issue?

What will happen to Spirit's lawsuit against DOT for awarding Alaska the DCA-SAN flight instead of giving Spirit the DCA-SJC flight?

Gary Leff gives a pretty good argument in this article that in 2024, granting Alaska's long haul slot as a limited incumbent, was illegal. He shows that Spirit was probably the only carrier eligible as a limited incumbent since the statutory definition includes historical slots and not just current slots.

Given that Loper Bright was recently decided and agencies can no longer override the plain text of the law with their own interpretation, it seems pretty clear that Spirit would win their lawsuit, but how will this work now that Spirit has ceased operations?

Could a creditor or another airline buy the rights to this slot/lawsuit from Spirit? In that case, I'd expect Southwest to be very interested in getting a DCA-SJC flight. If Southwest was able to acquire the lawsuit from Spirit and won, DOT would have to get rid of AA's DCA-SAT flight or AS's DCA-SAN flight.

What are the odds I will be able to buy 2 gate upgrades to Mint in December for BOS-AMS?

Don't want to use Mint certs for this route since it's 2/person. I could be wrong, but since this is primarily a summer route, I think that it's very likely there will be a lot of empty Mint seats and I could buy an upgrade. How good are the chances?

Would JetBlue join the Lufthansa TATL JV?

Back when the Northeast Alliance trial was happening, it was revealed that American intended to sponsor JetBlue for OneWorld membership, but JetBlue was the one more opposed to it since they wanted to remain semi independent. I didn't really understand why they didn't make a move to join the OneWorld TATL JV considering that they offer mixed itineraries and codeshares with both BA and EI.

Now that JetBlue has a limited partnership with United, would it make sense for them to join the Lufthansa TATL JV? Given that most of the A321LRs are used for domestic flying in the winter, it seems like it would be mutually beneficial to join the JV since those could be deployed for BOS/JFK-FRA

Can you double utilize Mint certificates earned if you qualify for Mosaic 3 in consecutive years?

My father earned Mosaic 3 last year and is likely to requalify this year. He got 4 Mint certs that have not been used yet (expire at end of Jan 2027). When he requalifies for Mosaic 3 in 2026, will he have 8 Mint certs that we can use on a single trip at the end of the year or will the 4 new Mint certs only be available after the initial 4 certs are exhausted? Thanks

Saw at least 3 cars cross this bus.

I'm not from here, but the rule from where I am was that you had to stop unless there's a physical divider. Either there are a lot of consecutive bad drivers or the rule is different here.
