Still can't believe this was my fourth or fith reset. The missing bridge is kinda a bummer but it gives the place on the top left an isolated garden feel.
and Josh Sawyer being the lead + the general lineup of old Fallout veterans:
Is there a world where Asha Sharma could try to return the lead Kuhlmann got, originally, promised for TESVI and thus convince him to come back? And if we were to go further, how likely would it be if we could have an extended Obsidian Fallout like situation? The return of old Bethesda veterans like Ted Peterson, Bruce Nesmith, Ken Rolston or Michael Kirkbride.
Lefay probably wouldn't have agreed even if he could, but I would have liked to see him in the boat too, rest in peace, absolute legend.
And another thought/question I had for a long time that came now up again:
After playing Battlespire and dabble with Shadowkey a bit (haven't finished it yet, but it is indeed a lot of fun), why have they stopped doing spin-offs?
Battlespire is a deeply flawed game. It starts right with character creation. But there is a reason why *Battlespire* players carry this indelible mark with them, why they never forget it. Be it the atmosphere, the unique mechanics like the dialogue system, the lore, including the implementation of what feels like 80% of all Daedra lore, or the overall vibe, the music, and the futuristic style featuring office filing cabinets and sci-fi technology that isn't Dwemer-made.
But there was one thought constantly on my mind playing it: DOOM.
This game weirdly felt like DOOM.
And they got ID, the DOOM guys. Why don't they use their acquired companies for Spin-offs again?
A Doom 2016 DOOM like Pelinal Game made by ID. DOOM 2016 onward were already pretty close combat and, haven't played it yet, hasn't the thrid game a sword and pushed close combat even more?
or
an Immersive Sim by Arkane? The setting could be anything. You could actually place it on Battlespire again or Umbriel ffs
Anything really.
I think the decision to have Obsidian make Fallout again, including the old veterans, was such a logically coherent move. It is something fans had wished for and, precisely for that reason, it would never have been able to happen... yet it actually did.
And that is also the case with what I have expressed. The only difference is simply that one thing has happened, while the other is, yet, just wishful thinking
