This the third out of four saturnine terminators ive painted for horus heresy + obliterator proxies, one of my favourite models of all time.
Trying out a more weathered textured look and i love it suits iron warriors so well imo.
Im really enjoying son of the forest and its been a good listen while im batch painting marines, got a ton more painting to do and im nearly finished though so I was wondering if there were books that followed it up? Any good dark angels books would be good but I dont really care about pre lions return dark angels hunting down fallen type stories.
Anyway anything post lions return or maybe something from the heresy just looking for more dark angels book recommendations in general.
I just recently posted my first finished dark angels squad to the main dark angels subreddit asking how the green came off and a couple mentioned they could pass more so as dark angels successors so I thought id put a pic of them here as well
Kitbashed a ravenwing command squad out of heresy era jetbikes because ive never liked the space marine bikes on wheels but I think jetbikes are sick
Also got another squad to be black knights and should gw legends them at any point they can just be run as fancy outriders
My take on the iron 4th both 30k and 40k models because both eras are cool
I have quite a few (too many) warhammer armies and even though they weren't my first i consider my iron warriors my favourite and most personal, not just because I think they're cool in terms of lore and colour scheme but also because I connect with them on a "deeper level" they're an embodiment of some of my favourite artistic aesthetics and as silly as it may seem they feel more "mine" than any of my other armies.
I kinda fell into this shade of green because I painted lion el johnsons model as a one off months and months ago and have only recently started a full on dark angels army and ive continued with the same green and ive finished a ten man sternguard squad.
The green definitely doesn't read as salamanders because it's not yellow enough but looking at how most people paint their dark angels they seem to use a much darker green.
I was just wondering how this shade of green works for dark angels and if they read as dark angels
