I don't think I can top this one 🌈

I love everything about this image. The bell bottoms, the retro colours, the excessive rainbows, the confetti, the sesame street of it all!

Behold, my silly bird portraits.

I've been making silly bird portraits in my spare time recently, and I thought you'd all appreciate. All are uk birds, done in colour pencils!

  1. "Mama"

  2. "Rage"

  3. "Proud"

I love birds. They're such daft personalities, and I just wanted to make art that makes me laugh. Hope they make you laugh too 😁

Edit: WOW I WAS NOT EXPECTING ALL THIS LOVE. Thank you everyone!

Help!!! I need to get quicker!

Wondering if I can pick the brains of some of you seasoned and battle worn posties.

I've recently changed depot after almost a year with Royal Mail, where I was on a steady rotation of rounds. I had one in particular absolutely nailed down, could do it with my eyes closed.

I've been at the new depot for 3-ish weeks and I have been given new rounds every week. Usually a van share for a couple days with an absorbed second round.

This recent round I've been on for 3 days, today my first time alone. I got back 10-ish minutes late and my manager is referring me to a workplace coach next week. I feel like I'm fumbling this. I'm getting around using maps and Waze, and a lot of houses on this round don't have numbers but instead its names. And they not always signposted either.

The depot here works completely different than where I've come from, the tying up process is completely different (loops in individual bags where I trained with them in trays) which I think is a better system but I'm still adjusting to it, I'm trying to tie up in a way that benefits my round partners and not inconvenience them as when I very first started I had literally no clue and made some lovely mistakes. My van partner then was actually really angry at me so I really set myself to learning the new (to me) system.

I'm trying to tie up as quick as I can in the morning, I'm still a little slow because I'm still trying to learn where everything is. Or am I being soft?

Please, any suggestions will be really appreciated 👍
