Apparently my ex is a homophobe(rant ig)

I'm 20 he/him bi

If you want more context you can see my other post. Essentially we were together for 8 months, she's a christian and I'm agnostic. Thats why we broke up, her decision

We broke up about a month and a half ago, I found out about the homophobia a week ago.

I asked her a couple times if she had anything against gay relationships while we were together. She always said no, and even described herself as bi

After we broke up I came to find out that she sees gay relationships as sinful, apparently at one point she even told my sister that she thought two men kissing was disgusting. What trips me up the most is that pretty close to her breaking up with me, she was obsessed with this gay romance anime, she watched broke back mountain with me(and cried), and she never said a word about my past relationships with men. I dont know if its her religious guilt thats making her say these things now, or if she just lied to me the whole time.

At the end of the day I guess it doesnt matter, its what she is now. I just feel really betrayed and hurt. I dont know if this is the place to share but I really dont know where else to go lmao.

Yea I guess that it

I have questions about the greek language and how it interacts with the bible

Im not a christian, but ive been reading the bible out of curiosity.

My ex had some very very kooky ideas on how she translated the bibles original text. She was advised by her dad who claims to have studied greek for 8 years.

If theres anyone here who has a good understanding of koine greek Id love to pick your brain on some of these verses.

My dms should be open, if theyre not just comment and Ill hit you up.

Thanks in advance!

My ex thinks the moon changes shap

We broke up because Im agnostic and shes a christian. There was nothing wrong with the relationship, she just started to feel like she was getting pulled away from her beliefs and felt it was best to break it off. Two weeks after we broke up I started looking into religion, I never had before so I thought "why not, worse case scenario I end up back where I am"

I started becoming convinced as I looked into it. Me and her started meeting up and discussing the bible, and it started making sense, until last night. Last night it was revealed to me that she thinks the earth is flat, the sun and moon hover over the earth in circles, the universe rotates around the earth, and the moon itself changes shape and color to help us tell time.

They are the kind of christians that take the bible literally. They dont try and interpret anything to fit the worlds modern day perspective. They think you either take it at its word, or you dont really beleive it. I appreciate that idea, if I were to beleive that a book is the real word of god passed down. that would either mean accepting the whole thing as fact, or denying everything.

She showed me a couple verses that refrences the earth having 4-corners

In the original language they were written, they used the feminine words, making them literal. I translated it for myself word-for-word and yup, the bible implies a flat earth.

Now for me I think about the cresent moon. Ive looked at it through my grandpas telescope and you can clearly see the shadow creating the illusion of shape. Its kind of hard but it can be observed without the use of computers

Ive watched the lunar eclipse happen, I dont see any way to explain that except through science

I asked about these things, she said shes "okay with the mystery".

I just wish she hadn't been indoctrination so young, because she is actually a really cool person with good character aside from what her religion has taught her to beleive.

But this does make the breakup easier for me, I could never be with someone thats so easily denies what you can observe. I just never knew it went this deep for her.

Ps, I just saw I missed the e in shape, lol

Shes a christian, Im agnostic

We had an amazing relationship.

According to her- about three days before we break up, she started having doubts about our spiritual differences.

She decided it would be best to cut it immediately instead of letting it fester.

Its hard not to respect that, but its even harder to let go of something we both loved so much.

We had a picture perfect match in every way but one. And I really wish I could change that.

I know that there's someone else out there if I looked.

I know this doesn’t have to be the last love I experience.

But it was right there..

No major arguments to remind myself why it couldn't work..

No moral differences to dwell on..

No opposing political beliefs..

No reason why we aren't perfect..

Except one, and its one she can't see past.

I texted her yesterday(its been about a week)

What hurts the most is she feels the same way.

All of it she agrees on.

Idk why but I sent her a letter I wrote in my notes, that was originally gonna stay there.

she showed me one from hers.

I swear my heart sunk, because we're saying the same thing.

She said she wish she could change.

And if there was a deal out there, wake up tomorrow a man of faith.

Right or wrong, true or not, wake up a christian.

I would take it in a heartbeat.

I miss my freckled girl

And she misses her green eyed boy

And we just have to keep missing:/
