Charter guest calls on Bravo to intervene in midst of racial and homophobic vitriol, death threats

I feel for them as I saw some of the nasty comments people were leaving, while others were trying to have a respectful discussion.

I do think they should maybe take a social media break rather than fully engaging with all the discourse if it is having a really negative effect on them. Surely they knew uploading that video would likely have some backlash, and alert lots more people to their account?

Unfortunately the Internet will always take it to a place of minority abuse and death threats, but I AM disappointed to see fatphobia, homophobia, racism, etc. coming out of the Below Deck fandom.

That said it’s a little disingenuous to say their only error was being Black, queer and joyful on vacation. I don’t think we’ve really seen much of that joy yet…

ETA: also, ultimately at the end of the day I find it hard to have much sympathy for someone who is earning 7 figures and renting luxury yachts. Death threats and hate speech are disgusting but if we’re talking about privilege…

Looking for advice on layover/flight times from Toronto to Madrid, via Lisbon

I'm looking at a flight from Toronto to Madrid with a 3 hour layover in Lisbon (single ticket TAP Air Portugal). I am a Canadian passport holder.

Does this leave enough time? I usually fly without checked bags.

Also, there is an option to have a 23 hour layover in Lisbon on the way back (landing around 6pm, flight at 5pm the next day). Wondering if it'd be nice to stay the night in Lisbon and explore for a bit the next day or if it'd not be worth it.

Thank you!

Wavy/curly girls of Toronto, who cuts your hair?

Bonus points if they cut bangs and are along the subway line, but I’m willing to travel.

These reels on Instagram are all word for word copied undeclared ads

Company is called “Minutes” and makes literally countless of these Instagram reels from random accounts all saying the exact same thing, advertising their note taking product.

I also found a similar ad campaign from a job search company called “Zenfy”, posting a ton of the exact same videos about being forced to leave their corporate laptop at home.

I’ve also seen a lot from the company “Sprout”, another job search platform, that makes copy and paste corporate rage bait videos to advertise their companies.

It’s mildly infuriating because ads are supposed to be clearly declared but these are just made to look like normal reels. I wouldn’t even have noticed if I wasn’t seeing the exact same reel over and over again. So much of my feed is just sneaky advertisements lately, it makes me just not want to use Instagram at all. It definitely doesn’t make me want to use their products lmao.

There are tons of others as well, it’s so sad to see people comment and respond to this content genuinely instead of realizing it’s a whole ad campaign. Shame on these companies for not disclosing advertisements.

Does anyone else think the online hate towards Gen is going too far?

I know this is going to be unpopular, and for the record, I do think she’s annoying. But I’ve been seeing tons of posts on Instagram absolutely ripping her apart - not just about her actions, but making sweeping judgments about her character and calling her terrible names. She’s only 22 and clearly not very confident in herself - idk it just makes me feel really sad seeing the absolute barrage of hate she’s getting over things that are really not THAT intense (save for the sheets, ew). I don’t think she’s a bad person and I think there’s a fine line between discussing annoying characters on reality TV and basically online bullying her. Maybe I’m off base, your thoughts?

I knew from the beginning that Ian and Nikki were hooking up.

None of my friends noticed this, so I thought I might share it with you folks. I knew from the trivia scene that Ian and Nikki were hooking up because at the end of one shot, Nikki steals Ian’s hat. As all girls know, this is a universal sign of flirting. Combined with Ian seeming to know how Nikki liked to be flirted with in the previous scene, this immediately clued me into the fact that something was going on between them.
