Which Tabis should I get as my first pair?

I’m looking to buy my first pair of Tabis, but I’m having a hard time deciding what to get. There are so many options - derbies, loafers, slip-ons, boots, etc.

I’m planning to build my outfits around the shoes, rather than buying a pair specifically to match what I already own. I also want something I can wear regularly as a daily shoe.

For those of you who have owned and worn different types of Tabis, which style would you recommend for a first pair?

My first MPC! Any tips?

Saw it in a store months ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I saved up for almost 5 months to finally buy one. Every day leading up to it was honestly exciting.

It’s my first MPC. Any tips or precautions for a complete beginner? Anything I should avoid doing or set up right away? I’m starting with YouTube tutorials for now.

One month until the Live3

Hi, a few month ago I made a lot of questions here whether I should buy a mpc one+, or mpc key37.
Luckily, I didn’t buy any of them.
It would’ve made me feel a bit uncomfortable if I bought one since both of them just released their new generation…
So the point is, I have been saving money so that I could buy Live3. I thought it would be worth the money though it was almost double priced of one+/key37. I’ve been watching youtube videos about it everyday but still interested.
I don’t know why I’m writing about this but anyways, I am so excited to be working with it. I almost reached my target budget now.
See you next month and have a nice day.

Same old question, but MPC one+ vs key37 ?

I know they got the same OS, a bit of memory storage difference and whether they have or have not midi keys.
But to people who have experience using both of them, I want to know which do you prefer and why.

To me, as a key player, key37 seems to be a better option.
Meanwhile, I also think One+ is more capable of “beat making” with its drum pads conveniently located right under the screen. Plus, maybe the midi keys could be replaced with other products. Please share your ideas!

What studio monitors do you use with Mpc one+?

Do you need an audio interface? I want to connect two monitors directly to my Mpc. Haven’t bought monitors yet. What do you use?

Scarlett 18i8 vs Clarett 2pre usb

If I don’t use much instruments, does the clarett has better performance? I know both are old products, but I need to choose between them. Maybe….8i6 or 4i4 could be considered also. Please help me choose one!!

*I use Akai Mpc one+, mpk mini, MacBook, a mic and two monitors.

How many in/outs do you need for this set up?

My MPC One+ will be delivered soon.
I want to use it with my MacBook, 2 studio monitors, and a microphone. Will Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen be enough?
Or should I go for Clarett 2pre USB?

I’m thinking of getting a 2i2 recording set including a mic and a headphone.

The instrument shop is offering free audio interface and I can’t choose one.

Hi, it’s my first time using an audio interface. The instrument shop is offering a free audio interface, and I can’t choose one. I use Logic Pro on my MacBook, with Akai midi controller and a MPC one+. And I’ll be using a pair of studio monitors later. Please help me make a nice choice. Thanks!

The choices are as follows-

Focusrite:

Scarlett 18i8 3rd gen
Clarett 2pre USB
Scarlett 8i6 3rd gen
Scarlett 4i4 3rd gen
Scarlett 2i2 studio (set) 3rd gen
Scarlett Solo studio (set) 3rd gen

Audient:

Sono
iD14 mk1
Evo SRB (set)

Should I just pick the 18i8? It seems like the most expensive one

What do you use an audio interface for?

For a MPC One+, what do you use it for and how many
I/Os does it have?

I’m not sure whether I should buy a recording bundle with a mic and a small audio interface, or just get a nice audio interface. Honestly, I don’t really need either of them right now, which makes it even harder to decide.

Any advice?

I visited a shop to see MPCs

This is the biggest instrument shopping center in my country. The whole building is full of instrument shops.
(Sorry I forgot the most important picture - the MPCs)

The authorized Akai dealer shop and its staff offered me these prices:

1,180 USD for MPC X
760 USD for MPC One Plus
920 USD for MPC Key37
370 USD for MPC Sample (out of stock)

With my beginner perspective-

Key37’s drum pads seemed to be too small.
X looked so cool, but I’d rather buy a synth for that price.
I was leaning toward MPC One Plus, but I heard 760USD is a bit high price for it.

Did you guys who bought a new one payed this much too?

*Btw I don’t want to buy a used one and this is for sure.

First, there aren’t many second-hand listings around my place, and they are also as expensive as the new ones. Maybe some of them are cheap, but with missing items.

Second, if I buy it from overseas, the import taxes are gonna be brutal.
(I once bought a pair of shoes for 250$ and payed 100$)*

Aside from that, looks like I’ll just pick one up tomorrow.

Do you use synth with your MPC?

If so, what do you use? I’m currently thinking about minilogue xd or a minifreak.

Any recommendation video for MPC X?

I’ve finally decided to buy it next week. I’mma just skip MPC One plus and buy X. I’m searching good tutorial videos, but it seems like they were made almost 5 years ago. Is there any good youtube channel/video to recommend? Thanks

What’s a fair price for an MPC X

I had a hard time choosing between Key37 and X.
I made my decision to go for X.
I don’t want a used one.
My nearby shop offers

MPC X (not SE) with SSD 500GB, Komplete 13 UPD,
and a Vlogger kit ios for 1180$.

I don’t know the average price, so I would like how much money you paid for it. Thanks again

The more expensive the better?

Hi, I’m an amateur beat maker. Until now I’ve used Logic Pro and Akai MPK mini 4.
I want to have a standalone machine, with its own daw.
My nearby music gear shop is offering these machines for good price.

  1. Akai Mpc key37 - 910$
  2. Akai Mpc one plus - 750$
  3. Akai Mpc X (not SE) - 1180$

I can afford any of them, but only one.
I have enough space to place them.
What would be the best choice?
Please share your experience. Thanks!
