Octopus free energy at weekends

If you're with Octopus, and you earn free weekend electricity, how are you using it if you've got solar/battery?

Is everyone plugging the car in, or running the washing machine, tumble dryer etc all at the same time?

Problems with scheduled/overnight charging - Sig charger & Renault 4 e-tech

Evening all, I've recently taken delivery of my new Renault 4 and I've not been able to successfully get an overnight, scheduled charge done without any sort of manual intervention. I've set up schedules on both the Sig & Renault apps (separate from each other so as not to clash) and neither have kicked in; I've woken up, seen them not doing anything and then kicked off a manual charge via the Sig app.

I've read that this *could* be down to the car being in a deep sleep mode. Is this right? Any other thoughts or suggestions? I obviously don't want to be having to stay up till midnight each night before plugging in to avoid the deep sleep - I'd rather it be me in the deep sleep!

First EV.....

Got my first EV, and first new car in over 20 years, on Friday. Iconic+ in Carmine Red. It's a lovely looking thing imho. Just getting to grips with the bings & bongs, as well as how to judge range and consumption when compared to an ICE car.

Any other R4 owners got any tips etc?

What to do with an old workplace pension (in conjunction with current WPP)

Evening all! Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I (49M) currently have 3 pension pots:

1/. A v small DB from when I was working for a city council for 12 months - current value £800 if I defer until 65

2/. A DC from an old employer, with Aegon in their Aegon Growth Tracker (Flexible Target) (ARC) find. Current value approx £117k

3/. A DC from my current employer, with Scottish Widows in their Scottish Widows Pension Portfolio Two CS8 fund. Current value approx 80k

I make 5% contribution a month to #3, matched by my employer. I could, potentially, increase this by 1% or 2% in the next few months although that's not certain.

I've had a thought about transfering the Aegon one into the SW one to reduce fees, etc and given the SW funds better performance over the past 1-5 years. I'm also concerned that I'm running 2 (broadly) similar funds so am wondering whether to move the Aegon one and be a little more bold with that pot given retirement is 15+ years away.

I've been quite happy for things to just run as they are but have recently been reading posts on here and it's made me wonder if I'm being a bit TOO comfortable/uninvolved with my retirement. I know I'm not really asking much here but does anyone have any familiarity with my funds and have any thoughts? Thanks.

My new 4 Iconic+

I took delivery of my Carmine Red 4 Iconic+ this afternoon. My first EV, and first new car in about 20 years. It needs a good wash after it's travel to me but I drove it to jiu-jitsu this evening and the supermarket.

I've found how to turn the indicator tone down but any tips/tricks on turning anything else intrusive off (the speed limit bong would be top of the list I think) would be gratefully received.

Sig EV charger installed

As the title says, I've had a Sig EV charger installed this morning ready for my Renault 4 that arrives at the end of the month.

Seamlessly added to the Sig app and now it's just sitting there, ready for its first call to action.

As the title says. I was running the air fryer and not enough solar was coming in so it topped up from the battery but now cooking has finished, it's charging the battery with the solar, whereas I think I'd rather export all the solar in the evening (what little there is) and then have the load come from the battery, knowing there's enough to keep us going until the Go 0030 cheap window kicks in again.

I'm sure there's a setting I can tweak to achieve this, does any Sig owner know what I need to do?
