I had no idea this sub existed until today...

I've been doing keto for 9 years now, and I started after my third marathon. Since then I have done a few dozen halves, 32 fulls, 2 ultras, and who knows how many 5k and 10ks along with all the training that's associated. I also lift heavy at least three times a week.

Anytime I talk about running a marathon in ketosis on the training subreddits, I always get shouted down like I'm crazy, but I started doing keto because I couldn't keep enough food down to fuel during my runs because I am such a big guy with associated caloric needs. Anyhow, I now go out and run my marathons on just having heavy cream coffee a couple of hours before and nothing during except for significant electrolytes.

Anyhow, just happy that I found this sub, and also maybe learn some tips or tricks that I haven't had to learn through trial and error as well as see what other's experiences have been like.

I said it 4 weeks ago, I'll say it again now. We are awful.

That's pretty much the post.

Oh, and go ahead and rip the bandaid off now and fire Satterfield.

Disparity in numbers between CDC sexual violence survey data

Does anyone know the when, why, and how as to the changes in methodology between the 2016/17 CDC Sexual Violence Survey, and the 2023/24 survey? Primarily looking at why in the 16/17 numbes, 12 month data on rape and made to penetrate for men are reported, but they are not in the 23/24 numbers. Not only that, the lifetime numbers for men dropped off substantially.

For example:

16/17 Lifetime reporting of some form of contact sexual violence: 30.7%

23/24 Lifetime reporting of some form of contact sexual violence: 16.9%

Link to all the reports:

https://www.cdc.gov/nisvs/documentation/index.html

I have not had a moment to dig into the methodology of each, and thought someone here might have already.

I've never been raped or made to penetrate, but I have experienced unwanted sexual contact multiple times.

Weapons and Dempsey EPs?

I am not sure how I missed this, but I don't think these have always been there (I definitely could be wrong on that). Does anyone know when Spotify added the EP Weapons? It's from 2013, and appears to be the first thing they released.

There's also the EP Dempsey from 2016. And same thing, I don't recall it always being there.

Like most of their stuff, I am really digging these.

We are awful...

I don't care if we win today's game. If we do, it won't be because we're a good team. It will be because BC just happened to be slightly worse than us. We are so damn bad. I don't even think the coaches have the right guys starting. The schemes are bad. The players seem lost. We are technically/fundamentally bad. With today's performance, we will be lucky to win 4-5 games this season.

Is it too much to hope for a mid-season firing?

ETA: To those down voting, if you can't see how bad they are, then I don't know what to say. The score isn't even remotely indicative of the team, and we're going to have a rough season. It's going to be just like the last several years. They'll build up a 4-1 or 5-1 record on cheap wins against inferior opponents, and then slide to a 5-7 or 6-6 record.

KALEO - Red Rocks

This was my third time seeing KALEO, and this was by far their best that I have seen them. There's something in the air at that venue that just gets artists to bring it. The set list was great in the way it built from slow and intense to taking your ears off by the end with Rock n Roller. It was extended over what I have seen them do previously, and included both Vor í Vaglaskógi and Sofðu Unga Ástin Mín, which was cool to get to hear both of those live as I haven't gotten to before.

On top of that, the crowd was keyed in the entire night, and I think that really helped them lock in and all of them crush it. Just a great show all around.

Obama Presidential Center

The Obama Presidential Center officially opened yesterday. I am sure I will visit at some point, but I was looking at a bunch of random pictures (as collected here) and wondered as to the various thoughts of the architect community since it is such a highly visible project.

My broad personal opinion is that there are several elements that I find elegant (even though I typically dislike most brutalist architecture) and details that I appreciate, some details feel like the good idea could have been executed better, there are design elements on the interior that are striking and yet some already feel dated. Visually I like the site, but I am curious to see how it feels in person. I am very interested to see how it ages as a design and in public opinion.

Project Info:

South Side Chicago

Budget of $850 Million

Construction time of ~5 years

276,000 SF

Campus is ~19.3 acres

Program: The museum tower hosting exhibition spaces, education and event space, and the Sky Room. The forum hosting the auditorium, media production suites, and dining and retail spaces. The library hosting a branch of the Chicago Public Library, a fruit and vegetable garden, and the athletic center (which has a full size NBA gym)

Architects: Billie Tsien and Tod Williams

Private Subreddit - Can't approve users

Hey All, I help mod/manage a private subreddit. I'm usually backend stuff like approving user requests to join the private sub, sending welcome messages, etc.

Today I was going through the 140 or so requests to join, and got through about 60 of them with approvals and a welcome message, and then...it just stopped working.

Any time I would click on approve on a join request, I would get a red bar and "Something went wrong. Please try again."

I click on the join request and try to approve within that, same thing. I tried logging out and logging back in, same thing. I tried to do some searching of other people with the same problem, but nothing seemed to come up that was similar.

I am on desktop for doing this. Mobile would be a nightmare to do it there.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Cincinnati Local Website Developer?

I'm looking for recommendations for a local website developer that is fairly priced and does quality work. I think I would prefer someone that works for themselves/a small business. I recently tried to work with a larger national company on this, and the work was so bad that I had to terminate the agreement.

All suggestions are welcome, even self promotion if you do this type of work. Thanks!

2016 Hybrid AC Compressor Replacement...has anyone done it themselves (any early model Crosstrek hybrid)???

ANY assistance on this is appreciated.

ETA: If anyone knows where I can get an early model Crosstrek Hyrbrid service manual, that would do the trick as well. I have access to the standard Crosstrek service manual.

ETA 02: I have been able to identify the part the green arrow is pointing to as the electric brake assist vacuum pump (Subaru Part #26110FJ000)

But pretty sure this is going to be a shot in the dark. Has anyone replaced their AC compressor on an early model Crosstrek Hybrid? Or know where I can find a video, or any other instructions on it?

I've been able to find videos for the standard Crosstrek to do it, and that looks super simple. But the layout of the hybrid model is different. And there is one bolt on the compressor that looks like a couple of other parts have to be removed to get to it. And then the belt layout is slightly different as well, and supposedly under more tension than the standard so I am not sure if it releases tension to remove it in the same way.

A couple of other notes:

- The newer model hybrids have a different layout, so unfortunately there's no help there.

- Here is the only link I can seem to find describing the hybrid model's layout, but it doesn't go into the removal process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP1xDUbpBKM&t=4s

And then, this isn't mine, but it is basically the same thing:

- Green arrow is to part blocking one of the compressor bolts from being removed. It also looks like there are some brackets that have to come off for removal.

- Red outline is the compressor.

- Blue outline is the different belt layout and extra tension.

Lap time/distance and split time/distance different - Fit 3

Recent Fit 3 owner. I got the Fit 3 to track my runs and incorporate heart rate data with those. I've not really had much of a problem at all getting it synced up with Strava, and it providing the feedback to me I want to look at post run and is fairly accurate to previous runs using just Strava.

But during my runs, and interesting thing is occuring. The first run I did, the pace shown on it was based off of 0.62 miles (1km), so it wasn't really helping me much to track the pace I wanted to go. It was also reading the lap count with that distance. The pace issue was easily resolved by going into the running settings and changing the split to half a mile, and I get accurate pacing now.

The issue, and this is more of an annoyance in that I look at it more than I would like during my run to check the distance, is that it still announces the laps and lap time at 1km instead of the split distance set at .5 miles.

Does anyone know where you can change the lap distance so that is aligned with my split distance?
