A few weeks ago, I stepped in when a guy was verbally abusing a worker at my local tea shop.

I told the customer to stop insulting the worker and to be respectful.
​
Since then, whenever I visit the shop and if that same person is there, he makes indirect comments and remarks that is aimed at me when talking with his friends. Bad words basically.

He doesn't address me directly, but the comments are frequent enough that I feel targeted and uncomfortable.
​
I don't want to create unnecessary conflict, but I also don't think it's fair to be harassed for standing up against abusive behavior.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Is there a way to report this through any official channel in the UAE, or is it better to ignore it unless it escalates further?
