I got this wood free on Gumtree for potential use on my allotment, ideally to build a natural fence.

Can anyone identify what tree it came from, and if it’s going to be suitable or useful please?

Got to my allotment today to find this poor thing tucked away between some pallets and an earth mound.

Google ai suggests adult badger, likely dragged to the quiet spot for inspection by a scavenger such as a fox. Looks like it has been dead a while.

I’m old enough to know life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows but it was still a bit of a disturbing discovery!

Survived the slug onslaught to reach its final glory. I could look at it all day!

I was told they were a good shape!
