Trying to Cancel

So I'm trying to cancel and I thought the stream service, you could cancel online without talking to anyone? I went through that and my only option is to call them or 'Chat to Cancel'.

Is this true? I have to talk to someone to cancel? I updated my credit information so no more then $25 can be charged at a time so it SHOULD fail when they auto renew though... maybe that will just be the way.

Let me know if there is a way to do it online without having to talk to anyone. I do not want to sit and have them try keeping me.

Waving HI to the heron!

When you can not be home to come and "welcome" your heron guest... You find other ways to say HI!

He has visited a few times in the past month and I go to work a few days a week. So I can't go out to "give him a hug". But I have a camera I check all day and have my inflatable buddy on a smart switch.

I actually put this up last night so perfect timing. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see if the heron comes back or if I put it on some sort of motion detection.

But boy was this fun.... haha.

Live TV - Extra Commercial (Skippable?)

Looking at replacing DirectTV Stream with Youtube TV because of their increasing prices AT LEAST yearly (if not, twice a year).

Working through the trail to see if it'll work for us. One thing we noticed this morning on Disney XD, watching live TV was a commercial that had a 'skip' button. I was very confused seeing how this was live TV. I hit skip and I'll be damned, it skipped the rest of the commercial and went back to live TV.

So, is this a thing? Does Youtube TV play EXTRA COMMERICALS over live TV? I'm guessing it sort of pauses the live TV in the background and waits for someone to watch extra commercials they put on top of live TV?

I turned on a different channel and then back to the channel we were watching and sure enough, we were about 20 seconds further along in the show.

Channel List - Last Watched

So I'm looking for a replacement for DirecTV stream due to them jacking prices again.

I'm doing a trial of YouTube right now. But it's missing the one feature I used almost all the time.

In DirecTV stream, if you hit the down button I think it was, it brought up the last 7 channels (or similar amount) you watched.

YouTube tv doesn't have this. I read sling didn't have this either. Does anyone know what other streaming services offer this?

Ionna Chargers

I come up to Wisconsin area from time to time and typically charge at teslas super charger.

This time, ABRP told me an IONNA starion. I never tried one so gave it a shot. Maxed at 188 for a little bit, has pull through which is NICE and best part, it's cheap! 0.33/kwh is the cheapest I've ever seen. I'll have to keep them in my preferred stations list for sure.

DSL and Cell (cancel cell)

Our cell bill has gone up probably close to 20 per line in the past two years. For two lines, that is almost 40$. Our internet went up from 40 to ... I want to say like 64 in the past two years. All just rate increases I guess.

I have DSL through them, two cell lines and then DirecTV stream which. Was uverse. But I don't think they are combined in anyway anymore.

Our plan is to go to cricket wireless (basically att) to save about 80/month. I didn't see anything on our internet bill to for a discount related to multiple services / bundles / etc.... so when we switch, the Internet shouldn't go up right? Im sure it'll go up fas it has at least every year like it does now (sometimes multiple times per year)... But shouldn't be related to me removing my cell service right?

And then DirecTV stream, same thing? I didn't think we got any discount there either. That has gone up multiple times per year too .. will be switching that in the next few months. Just stuck with Internet until they get fiber on this side of the street since I refuse to use Comcast.
