Question about CASPer scenarios where your role isn't specified

I'm practicing for CASPer and I'm confused about something.

If a scenario says something like:

>“A patient comes to a pharmacy upset because their prescription isn't ready…”

but it doesn't say whether you're the pharmacist, pharmacy technician, pharmacy assistant, or another employee, what are you supposed to assume your role is?

For example, would you say:

>“I would assess whether the medication is medically urgent and decide whether it should be prioritized.”

Or would you say:

>“I would check with the pharmacist/appropriate healthcare professional to determine whether it can be prioritized.”

My concern is that if I assume I'm a pharmacy assistant and say I'll consult the pharmacist, but the evaluator intended me to be the pharmacist, that could seem strange because obviously a pharmacist can clinically assess the situation themselves. But if I assume I'm the pharmacist when the scenario never actually says that, I could also be giving myself authority that wasn't established.

For people who have taken CASPer, what do you normally do when the scenario doesn't explicitly give you a role?

Do you:

  1. Assume a reasonable role based on the context?
  2. Avoid assuming a specific profession/authority and give a role-neutral answer (but how would that work)?
  3. State something like “I would first determine what falls within my scope and involve the appropriate person if necessary” (but that would be vague cause I am specifying who the person is so might drop my points however they count it)?

PLEASE HELP I am actually losing it lol

Seat alert

Okay, I’m pretty sure there’s an issue with the seat alert. If anyone can confirm, I received a notification that there is an open spot. The second I opened it, the course was full the same second I got a notification. This happened in less than 20 seconds. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do?

He’s been throwing stuff in our yard for no reason so want to get him in trouble
