Braved the heat today and had one of the most incredible days I’ve had this year. So worth it.

6 years ago today, me and my dad waited 3.5 hours to ride Orion on opening day
Taken on hour 25 on an all-nighter and it SHOWS
Me and a bunch of friends built this a couple years ago. It took us like a year and a half to do but thought I’d share some of it here.
I’m in Indianapolis and of course everyone has seen what’s coming. I have pretty bad weather anxiety over every little thing despite me living weather at the same time. Is there anyway to lessen it or keep it down ?
New woodie that’s supposed to be a modern Gravity Group PreCut. Any suggestions are welcome.
Went to Kentucky Kingdom during the summer for the first time since 2017. I went last year in late October but it was cold and rainy and I didn’t get a good idea of what the park actually was. But here is a review of the park now that I feel I got a good idea.
The pros:
• The coaster collection is pretty decent. The punch of Wind Chaser, Woodland Run, and Lightning Run is incredible. Kentucky Flyer and Flying Fox round out some nice family rides.
• The Waterpark is pretty fun. We spent about half the day there and had tons of fun with it. Lots to do and helps round out the day.
•The flat ride collections looked alright. We only did the drop tower but the rest looked fun.
• The staff were awesome. They were so friendly and talkative. I don’t know if you’re in here, but there was an awesome ride op on Woodland Run that had us laughing and smiling more than I think I ever had at a park. (I had a Dollywood shirt on if that helps)
• The park is gorgeous. Herschend has done a great job with it.
Cons:
• One train ops on everything. It’s early and the park doesn’t NEED it. But those waits shouldn’t be as long as they were for some rides.
• The waterslides moved slow. They didn’t have enough tubes to keep it moving constantly.
• Not nearly enough shade in the lines. Especially Lightning Run, Wind Chaser, and Kentucky Flyer.
Parking was rough. There was a bunch of stuff happening at the convention that we didn’t know about but that’s not on the park. Just look ahead at the conventions centers events beforehand.
Tl;dr: Overall. The park was great and we had a ton of fun. It’s much more worth it than it’s been in past years. There’s a lot to do and a lot to see. Overall will give the park a 9/10. Maintenance and one train ops held it back from a 10 but it was so worth it.
Edit: 2026* not 2025
Where can I seek professional help?
The ride started and we did about one rotation before it shook and the whole ride just swung in place for about 5 minutes.
They couldn’t get the floor back up afterwards and got us off from where we were.
