The thing is I am eligible and the offer letter is generated..but my 2nd sem result is pending and 1st sem all clear with good gpa...I am worried because they said if in any one subject I have not passed my migration would not be considered....but I don't think that will happen as I have calculated that my score 7.5 or 8 + gpa in 2nd sem...so can anyone suggest me what action to take in such a case.
Is there any way to take admission into 2nd year into btech CSE (core or specialization) to pec chandigarh from govt. university (i have completed my 1st year in btech cse(ai&ds)..can it be done with personal meetup management qouta etc any way you know ? is there been any cases over past years?
I called in cse acadmeica block they said to give pumeet exam..but it's regisitration is closed..is there any other way ?

I need some genuine advice because I'm really confused about my situation.
I have done B.Tech CSE (AI&Ds)(1st year) at Government Hydro Engineering College, Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh).
The main issue is that my college is still developing. The first-ever CSE batch hasn't even graduated yet (they're entering 4th year now), so there isn't much senior guidance, coding culture, or placement history.
From what I've heard and observed:
\- Companies like Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. don't visit the campus.
\- Sometimes companies like TCS and Infosys come, but that's about it.
\- There are very few technical clubs or active coding communities.
\- Hackathons, workshops, tech events, and networking opportunities are quite limited.
\- Alumni network is almost non-existent because CSE is a new branch here.
My concern is not just placements.
I'm worried about:
\- Exposure to competitive programming and DSA culture.
\- Hackathons and a project-building environment.
\- Learning from seniors.
\- Internship opportunities.
\- Meeting ambitious peers.
\- Building a strong network.
\- Overall technical and industry level growth during college.
Because of this, I'm thinking about migrating to Chandigarh University (CU) if migration becomes possible.
I know CU gets mixed reviews online. Some people criticize it, but I've also heard that:
\- There are many coding clubs and technical communities.
\- More hackathons and events happen.
\- Better peer group (at least in terms of numbers).
\- More companies visit compared to my current college.
\- Better exposure for internships and extracurricular activities.
At the same time, I'm also aware that:
\- The tag of my current college being a government college may have some value.
\- Ultimately, placements depend a lot on individual skills.
So my question is:
If your goal was maximum learning, exposure, networking, hackathons, internships, and improving placement opportunities—not just getting a degree—would you stay in my government college or migrate to Chandigarh University?
I'm looking for ground reality, especially from people who have studied in either place or have experience with similar situations.
Please don't give generic "skills matter" advice—I know that already. I'm trying to understand whether the environment and ecosystem are important enough to justify migration in my case.

So hey there!...I was looking to joing for a college that Make the students do something in practically and help them till the end to achieve...so my questions are:-
How is the routine there ? Is there only time to just study related to the course or placement subjects ? Are startups, innovation, research related guidance and interesting communities there?
If someone wants to prepare for govt exams, GATE side by sidw as a backup pr anything will he/she get some time for that.
3.Can i improve myself by following only the teachers and the course or should the individual also take an online course or anything like that
