That New Plane Smell!
Just finished putting together the Hanger 9 J-3 Cub. I have been wanting one for a while and after a month of sitting in the box in garage, had some time to put together. Hopefully I can maiden it soon!

SWA 4120 goes from KRSW to KMDA and then to KLGA but about three laps, it is diverting to LGA..I see some weather is on the way to Chicago but seems odd to divert to the next leg.
I had some reward points to spend and I have been wanting the 1.5m Eflite airtractor for awhile, after spending a few days in my cart I was going to pull the trigger this morning. Glad I waited. 4th of July 20% off sale!
Crash one plane, buy two. After crashing my TTE 2.0m SWS (the one made is balsa) last weekend, I ordered a replacement and a Hanger 9 J-3 Cub to put the crashed TTE electronics into and they both arrived today!
After my cross country move a month ago, I got my 2.0 M Turbo Timber back together today and she is itching to get back in the air! I am going to check out the Raleigh Durham Radio Control Club tomorrow so if anyone is on here, please stop by and say "Hi!"
The wife and I moved from Oregon to NC about a month ago and between packing, actually moving, and unpacking, I finally got back in the air after about 2 months. Got a couple flights with my TTE in between rain showers at my sister's and BIL house, their neighbor has almost a 20 acre field behind their house. Until I find a club in the Raleigh area, I might be doing a few flights at their house.
I see post all the time complaining about the small fuel tank and poor MPGs but we just did a cross country move from Beaverton OR to Raleigh NC, a 2964 mile trip, I drove my 2016 CX5 and she has a 2023 CX-30 Preferred. Her CX-30 averaged 37.1 mpg and my CX-5 averaged 29 MPG and our average driving speed was 72 miles per hours, with a couple days cruising along 80-85 miles per hour in the western states. We often filled up around a quarter tank and we both had similar miles to empty even though I have a bigger tank.
