LANGLEY — RCMP in Langley are investigating after an incident that left one man with serious injuries on the evening of Canada Day.
On July 1, at around 9:48 p.m., frontline officers, paramedics and Langley firefighters responded to a report of a man in distress near Park Avenue and Douglas Crescent, and found the injured 75-year-old.
He now remains in hospital in critical condition.
“Investigators have reviewed video surveillance from the area and believe victim’s injuries may be the result of an assault,” said Constable Peter Mann of the Langley RCMP.
Officers believe there were additional people in the area who may have witnessed the incident, and we are asking those individuals to come forward and speak with investigators.”
Anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the surrounding area between 9:30 and 10:15 p.m., is asked to contact police.

there’s this house in silver valley constantly having house parties until 1-2am in the morning and they are blaring loud music, teens screaming, there obnoxiously driving their cars up and down the road. My young kids cannot sleep and constantly wake up in the middle of the night.
I have made a noise complaint to the city but it’s still happening, is there anything else I can do?
