4k or 1440p

Just finished my new build with a 5080. I’ve gamed on 1440p 165hz 27 inch ips panels for the last couple of years.

I want a new OLED monitor to get the best out of my new card. Part of me is inclined to go 4k to get the most out of my GPU but I’ve heard that there’s no point going 4k below 32 inches and I’m unsure if I’d find a 32 too big. The alternative would be sticking with 27 inches at which point I’m not sure if it’s still worth going 4k.

For reference my desk is 70cm deep and I play a mix of FPS and RPG games (around 50/50).

Was anyone here in the same dilemma and what did you end up choosing

Case recommendations for a silver motherboard/grey desk combo?

Have attached pictures of my motherboard and desk colour (in the process of getting a custom made desk). Any recommendations for PC cases that would match this colour scheme well?

Priorities for me in order of importance are:

  1. Quiet (I use open back headphones)
  2. Nice aesthetic
  3. Acceptable airflow

I haven’t ordered any parts yet apart from what’s pictured so could commit to either a white or black build. My ram is black.

Bought the 100ml Byredo bal d’afrique absolu for £150 on eBay on bid from a seller with 100% feedback (no box).

Main concern is the colour of the juice as I remember it being a lot darker in real life.

It also smells more similar to the EDP from what I remember.

Finally the bottom view showing the underside of the atomised mechanism looks different to others here (picture 7)
