Star Trek Voyager S2E14 WEIRD Soundtrack

Just posting something weird I noticed when watching Star Trek Voyager. Took a clip of it from Amazon Prime and uploaded it to Youtube. Why would Amazon or Paramount (or whoever) want to do this?

What did this faceless "they" do?

In this clip, an odd musical clip has been overlaid on the original soundtrack, accompanied by several escalating Crowd-Cheer audio clips. To be clear, the Original Soundtrack is still in place, not removed, it's just been overlaid with a new track. Furthermore, all these new audio pieces suggest we're watching something take place in an open-air theater while the physical scene, itself, is set in a closed off room with no cheering crowd to be seen.

Now, none of this appears in any other version of Voyager that I've ever seen, only now, while watching it on Paramount+ through Amazon Prime.

Poetry from the Dark

Just wanted to share a little thought I have from time to time when I call that cutting beam down in ground battles.

Galactic Colonization Through Time Travel

I have this theory that:

If time travel is possible and, assuming a person leaves a moment in time to arrive at the same spot in a different time, then, due to the orbital mechanics of Earth around the Sun (and the Sun around the galactic center) the time traveler will arrive in the same spot at a time when Earth has, either, moved on or has yet to arrive. Subsequently, the time traveler will be adrift in the flotsam of what we know as the Ortt Cloud or, better yet, find themselves in a new solar system altogether.

If we keep along with this notion, then, it can be posited that a prepared time traveler (or group of travelers) can be consistently sent forward (or backward) through time to a space in the galaxy, the distance of which is dependent on the targeted date of time. If done properly, these travelers can, then, colonize the portion of the galaxy in to which they time traveled. People sent into the past would colonize the Ortt cloud ahead of Earth’s eventual arrival, and those sent into the future will colonize the cloud left in the Earth’s wake. If consistently done, Earthlings could colonize the galaxy using time travel.

Cicada spotted in Laguna Hills

Is it that time already?!

The cicada blooms always take me back to the balmy so cal nights of my childhood. I lived in the desert, so, as kids we mainly went out during the twilight to play in the yard. We'd find so many of the husks left all over the place, picking them up gently and putting them all over our clothes, pretending we were being swarmed. It's those twilight balmy nights in the yard with my siblings, listening to the sound of the cicada, that I always return to when the cicada, also, returns.

Get ready so cal! It's gonna get loud!

Selling my Possibly Cursed Gloves

I shared the story of my possibly cursed gloves here recently and, since then, I've come to a place where I feel like I can part with them. I've been collecting them for years now (since 2012) as trophies in defeating my past traumas, just like Nancy's mom did in the 1st movie.

What makes them possibly cursed? You can read about that in this past reddit post of mine. There's pictures there, too. But here's the list of gloves.

There are 5 gloves in this collection to be sold all at once, no exceptions.

Razor Gloves - Boiler Room Creation (unboxed, tarnished, patina on blades)

Trick or Treat Studios - Dream Warrior (unboxed)

Trick of Treat Studios -  Dream Master (boxed)

David Miller Creations - Dream Child with Certificate of Authenticity (no box)

Dark Dream Designs - Freddy vs. Jason (no box)

Again, these gloves are possibly cursed, so, buyer beware!!
