I plan on just cleaning it up and repainting the area, I’m not entirely sure how grazing it knocked it down. The security company seems really sketchy that I had to deal with, should I report it to my insurance and have them deal with it? Should I just eat the fine? Never been in any sort of accident before

I’ve been in the process of replacing the heater core, guy took it to a shop and they did him dirty. Told him he needed a new core (he didn’t) they bypassed it and here we are

His coolant in the reservoir looks like red clay, so naturally going to flush as much as possible. The engine sounds fine and there’s no smoke or codes, so I’m not going to rip it apart seeing about a head gasket.

I’m curious however, would replacing the heater lines for the new heater core be good with the flush? I’m going to look at the thermostat, none of the other hoses look bad, but the main heater hose was pretty corroded, when I cut it a lot more coolant flushed out. Radiator looks fine.

Don’t really wanna throw her back together with the new core to flush it, just to rip it back apart.

What would you guys do? Replace all the lines? Just flush and replace the bypassed lines?
