This is what 10 years “progress” looks like.

Topical Minoxidil for 10 years, oral Finasteride 1 year, but moved to 0.5mg Dutasteride 3x a week and 5mg Oral Minoxidil daily 6 months ago. Seems like zero progress at all… 😢 Anything else I could do?

Profile Review: 32M / Tier-1 Corporate Banking / 163 EA -> Aiming for INSEAD GEMBA (Autumn 2027 Intake)

Looking for a realistic profile check and sanity check on my strategy for the INSEAD Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) for the Autumn 2027 intake.

I’ll be 33 at matriculation. I am fully self-funding (just bought an apartment, so keeping my full-time income is non-negotiable, hence the EMBA route over a traditional FT program)…

Test Score
- Executive Assessment (EA): 163 Total (18 IR / 13 Verbal / 12 Quant)

Background & Experience
- 32M, Based in the Nordics
- Total YoE at Intake is ~7.5 Years (in addition, did 4 years part-time during my studies)
- Associate Director at a major Nordic bank. Act as an advisor on liquidity, debt financing, and capital strategies for large-cap, stock-listed Nordic corporate clients.

- Previous experience includes Analyst / Sr. analyst at a Tier-1 Global Bulge Bracket Bank handling financial modeling and capital allocation strategy for cross-border deals
- Senior Consultant at Big 4
- Internship at a global shipping giant, during a major post-acquisition integration.

Education
- Master in Finance from top Nordic business school (very low GPA…)
- Bachelor in Business Administration
- Passed CFA Level I.

Leadership & Community
- Board Member of 1700 member non-profit.
- Routinely orchestrating cross-functional, multi-disciplinary coverage teams across international borders in corporate banking.

Goals & Strategy
- Target Program: INSEAD GEMBA (Europe Section - Fontainebleau).
- Why INSEAD: The modular 1-to-2 week format fits my family and professional life perfectly. It allows me to maintain my current corporate trajectory without disrupting my lifestyle or residential commitments in Copenhagen.
- Long-Term Goal: I want to leverage the GEMBA to either advance internally to senior executive leadership tracks within corporate banking, or pivot into corporate strategy, corporate finance, or funding/treasury leadership roles at a large Nordic blue-chip company.
- Funding: Self-funded via current salary/liquidity lines. Will be aggressively applying for INSEAD's self-funded/regional diversity merit scholarships to offset costs, as this would be a massive burden.

Questions:

  1. Any insights on how generous INSEAD is with merit/diversity fellowships for self-funded Nordic applicants with high EA scores?
  2. How well regarded is the INSEAD GEMBA network among top-tier Nordic blue-chips for professionals trying to cross over from financial services into corporate finance/strategy roles?
  3. Any other programs to consider? LBS EMBA seems a hassle with the bi-weekly flights, and their online program seems ambiguous. Booth has a program in London, but not that known in EU/Nordics.

Appreciate any brutally honest feedback, advice on positioning, or interview tips! Thanks.

Nogen erfaring med Janesminde?

Fik denne reklame på Instagram, den skulle kunne lave samlet porteføljesoversigt fra bl.a. Nordnet, Saxo, Nordea.
