Quest 3 vs. PSVR2 mainly looking at performance

My PC is 32gb ram with 3080 10GB and Ryzen 5 3600, and I have played through Skyrim VR FUS multiple times with my quest 3 using virtual desktop (and previous runs with PSVR1 on PS4, Rift S on a 1060 laptop, Quest 1, Quest 2, and now Quest 3).

I just found the PC adapter for PSVR2 for cheap and I've read that the foveated rendering can boost performance by a decent amount and that the toolkit keeps getting improved as time goes on, and it would be nice to play with OLED blacks again like back in the day on the quest 1).

Ideally I would upgrade my computer, but with current pricing of all tech, that really isn't an option; so what kind of performance and graphics boost would I get with the PSVR2?

Anyone playing the game with the PSVR2, how does it look and run, and if you've played on both the quest 3 and psvr2, what do you prefer?

Need advice about the Surface Studio Gen 1

My wife is going to start college soon (she's in her mid 30s) with a vocal performance degree and we've been looking at some laptops that have a touchscreen and also that can be used as a tablet style laptop. It will be used as her go to for notes in all her classes, but in her music classes it can be used with the pen for writing out music, and in the tablet mode it can be setup on a piano music stand with digital sheet music.

I found a surface studio gen one that comes with the 3050ti, 32gb ram, 1tb storage, pen 2, surface dial, charger, dock and case, for 700 dollars on FB market place. Would that be worth it? We've also looked into the surface pro which I think would work well, but the 12 inch isn't big enough, and the jump to the 13 inch is 1500 dollars, so kind of hesitant getting that compared to the much cheaper studio.

She will need the laptop for at least 4 years though, so if the pro is recommended over the older studio, we can spend the extra money if needed.

6 dollar eBay find led me to buy a bunch of Fire Emblem games; what is the best Fire Emblem game to start with?

Found these brand new Fire Emblem Fates plates for the New 3DS for 6 dollars plus 6 dollar shipping, and I honestly couldn't believe it.

I haven't played a single Fire Emblem game on the 3DS so ended up buying a bundle of Fire Emblem Fates Birthright, Awakening and Warriors.

I just got the plates in and now I'm kind of hesitant to open them because they are unopened in perfect condition. I think I'm going to try playing the Fates game and if it clicks I'll end up opening them, and if not I'll sell them and continue to use the Zelda and pokemon plates I already have. They are really good looking plates though, so we'll see how long I can hold off before opening them up and using them (it's just crazy they sell new for almost as much as a new 3ds!).

The New 3DS is so awesome with customizable plates

I had the white new 3ds for a while, and just got the black, and honestly I think it might be my favorite for daily use now, it looks especially great with the black Zelda Triforce plates.

I also managed to get Fire Emblem plates for 12 dollars shipped, and I was planning on opening them, but after seeing how much they sell for, I think I'm going to keep them unopened for now. Between the charizard, blastoise, Triforce and now these mewtwo plates I think I have a pretty good variety to switch between and I can always 3d print more.

My two teens are wanting me to come back to play with them and I need some help on what void hunter build to play

I've been an off and on Destiny and Destiny 2 player since the alpha, but since Destiny 2 came out I've never had the time to raid or do any dungeons. My 15 year old and 13 year old really really want me to play with them, so I figured I'd come back for one last hurrah and see what we can all 3 do together.

My 15 year old is playing on my PC on Steam, my 13 year old is on PS5 and I've been playing on PS Portal streaming the game (which isn't ideal, I might try to see how well it runs on my laptop just so I can have more precise control with less latency).

I think the goal is to go through all the story stuff together, try some dungeons with the three of us, and maybe eventually try doing some raids. I'm waiting for the collection to go on sale so I can buy 3 copies to get access to everything for all 3 of us.

My 15 year old is currently playing strand Hunter, my 13 year is playing stasis titan and I've always been a void invisibility hunter.

What is the best void hunter build that's a good support to help keep people alive, revive people if needed, and also do a good amount of damage? I don't have a problem with grinding out any specific weapon or armor needed for the build (I grinded for weeks to get a God roll hopscotch pilgrim in d1 if anyone remembers that weapon). The game is quite different now than I remember though, so any help on each element of the class build and armor and weapon sets would be amazing.

We aren't really in a rush, but I think it would be a blast to beat destiny 2 and do all the difficult encounters with my two sons, so that's the plan.

Current collection, having fun with the plate and cover customization of the New 3DS

Was fine using a blue 3ds xl for 14 years, but I got the collector bug earlier this year and I've been having fun customizing the looks of the 3ds.

I found the galaxy new 3ds xl a few months back and fell in love with it, but with the grip it's not very portable, so I started looking into the new 3ds (I 3d printed the masterball cover to use when playing Pokémon and found the pdp cover to use when playing Zelda).

I wasn't planning on buying two white new 3ds but after watching ebay for a few weeks for a good deal I happened upon the white Japanese new 3ds with the Zelda plates that I bought the moment it got posted, and then that same day an auction for the pokemon 3ds with box and blastoise plates was ending, so I put in a bid in this last 5 seconds just to see what happened and I managed to get it for cheaper than I was expecting (it was still expensive though).

Ive been debating selling the red 3ds with circle pad, but my 6 year old loves it and I don't really want him to play with the new 3ds so I'll probably keep it for him.

The 2ds is technically my daughters, I just gave it to her for her birthday a few days ago and she loves it.

I wanted the dsi and dsi xl for ds games for the pixel perfect look, and I think they work and look great, I'm using a supercard dstwo flashcart so I can keep playing the same game on the lime green when out and about, and play the dsi xl at home with the grip.

Ive been on the lookout for weeks for a black new 3ds at a good price and hope to find one eventually, but they are really rare in the US. Next step is to sell the white Japanese new 3ds with some custom 3d printed plates, keep the Zelda plates, and make a completely black Zelda new 3ds. I think it would be cool to have both black and white new 3ds to match different plates better.

So far, using cloudpoint to swap saves between the new 3ds and 3ds xl, it has been pretty seamless to play the new 3ds while at work, and continuing the same save game with the new 3ds xl w/grip at home.

If you could pick between a black or white new 3ds, what would you go with?

Been having fun 3D printing things for my 3DS

I got a Galaxy 3DS pretty recently and purchased a clear protective case which has worked great. I saw someone else 3d print a pokeball case for their red new 3ds xl and thought it would be cool to swap around the clear case to something more Pokémon themed when I play Pokémon (which is the majority of my play time recently). I figured the red and white pokeball look wouldn't match the galaxy 3ds as well so I customized it and turned it into a masterball, and thought it turned out pretty well.

I also have a galaxy filament 3d printed grip and I 3d printed a drop in charger stand with the Pokémon logo on the front that also works really great.

Edit: Just remembered I haven't added the white M yet, the piece I printed earlier today was a little dirty so I'm printing another one tonight.

Current collection: Going to get some great handheld gaming time during a 3 week Study Abroad in Spain

Heading to Spain from the Western US for 3 weeks soon, and I'm going to have a ton of airport, plane, train and hotel time for handheld gaming.

Currently playing and will most likely bring:

3DS- Bravely Default and Pokémon Omega Ruby (Rutile Ruby)

Switch 2- Pokémon Legends ZA

Playstation Portal- FFVII Remake Intermission and will start FFVII Rebirth after (I have cloud streaming which will hopefully work decently with hotel wifi)

I also have a Samsung S25 Ultra that works great with the Gamesir G8+

Last thing isn't handheld but I'll have my Zephyrus G14 w/4060 for work that I can play on using the G8+ as well

The second picture is the Gamesir G8+ with a custom 3D print I designed to go into the middle of the controller
