I’m adding an Apprenticeship flair, and I highly recommend using it!
We get apprenticeship questions almost daily, and while they’re all valid, they tend to get answered over and over. Using this flair will make it easy for everyone to find advice, experiences, and answers all in one place.
If you don’t see your question answered, make a post with the Apprenticeship flair! No judgment here, we’re all here to help.
We’re also hoping to put together an apprenticeship handbook/resource in the future, so stay tuned! 🫶🏻
Hey everyone! I’m the creator of this subreddit, and I just wanted to say how happy I am to see how much this community has grown. It’s become so much more active, supportive, and honestly just an awesome place to be.
One of our mods has access to Mod Mail, so if you’re wanting a flair from the weekly flair posts, make sure you message the subreddit there so he can review your work and get your flair added.
Having people label themselves as piercers, former piercers, apprentices, etc. really helps everyone know where advice and experience is coming from, and I think it makes the community even better.
I’ll be back in about a week or so, but I genuinely appreciate all of you. Watching this community grow into what it is has been amazing, and I can’t wait to see where we all take it next. 🖤

Anyone have tips and tricks on how you mark for double nostrils?
I personally will use calipers and sometimes use microblading thread!

🤓Apprentices, professional piercers, and retired piercers will need to message a mod with proof of work/shop experience to receive their flair. Everything stays confidential — this is simply to help verify experience.

➡️That being said — even with professional flairs, remember that the piercing industry is always growing and changing. Some advice may be outdated, techniques can vary, and professionals may have different opinions or even disagree with one another.
