I interrupted their playtime and now they're judging me.
Missing from the Westcourt area
Hi,
my friend's cat went missing some days ago. We're a bit worried as he has been unwell.
He has also had vet treatment recently, so he still has some patches where his fur has been shaved recently (tail, legs).
If you have seen him, please send me a DM.
Thank you.
"Your tree fell over." -"Yeah, your tree fell over."
That obviously got nothing to do with them though.
He's seen things he'd rather not talk about.
2006 Holden Rodeo, no clutch.
Hi,
I feel like an idiot and don't know what to do.

Long story short: I crashed my car on Monday (I don't even know yet if it's fixable or not).
someone I've known for a long time passed away a month ago and his mum kindly let me use his car.
It's a 2006 Holden Rodeo, petrol.

Now I unfortunately don't know a lot about cars other than how to drive it.
Another big problem is, that no one really knows anything about this car.

He was carrying 25l of premixed coolant in the back, but when I was worried about that one of his roommates said, he thinks this was one of the last things he did get fixed on the car.

I meant to check the coolant in the car anyways. But stupid me didn't.

I drove it all day Wednesday and it was fine.
The clutch wasn't the best.. and someone described it as a 'heavy clutch'. But it was working just fine.

Then yesterday I wanted to drive it out of my carport, so we can change some bulbs and look at some other things.
and that's when the clutch wouldn't do anything at all anymore.

I can still put it in gear when the engine is off.

But the clutch feels like there is nothing there and it gets 'stuck' and won't spring back.

So we then checked the coolant too and it was pretty much empty.
(I did keep an eye on the heat while driving it and did not notice the engine overheat or anything.)
We filled up the coolant, but yeah, without clutch it's undrivable.

Did I break his car? Was it heat that killed the clutch or are there any other things that could've caused this?

Does anyone have any idea how big of a repair I'm looking at?

I feel so stupid and the last month has just been a mess.
some good news would be nice for a change.. but please let me know if I fucked up here..

thanks
Helping a (possibly) traumatised dog without making it worse.
(I tried posting this in r/dogs, but it won't let me)

Hi there, this one is a bit of a complicated one, I'll try to keep it short but include all important info.

Someone I've known for a long time ended his life a bit over three weeks ago.
He had a dog, which he loved to pieces and the dog loved him just the same.

The dog was in the house when it happened. She is the reason his roommate checked on him and found him.
The poor thing was acting all weird, pacing in front of the room. She obviously knew something was up.

The guy's ex-girlfriend (horrible person, she is) went to grab the dog (and more of his belongings) the very same day it happened.
She knew she would not be able to keep the dog, and about a week later, she dropped the poor dog back to the house.

Last time I've seen the dog, she was a mess.
She's hiding most of the time. Crying and looking for her dad the moment she's brave enough to come out of her hiding hole.

Fast forward to two days ago when I unfortunately got into an accident with my car which I need for work.
I'm close with that guy's mum and she lets me use his car for now.
Which is super helpful but also has been a big roller-coaster ride of emotions so far.

there's still a lot of stuff in his car. Most things are from or for the dog though.
everything from the dog-themed air freshener to the seatbelt connector and a glovebox full of poop bags shows he'd do anything for her.

I also found some of the dog toys, which I have a question about.

I was wondering if it is a good or a bad idea to give the toys back to the dog.
But I just don't know if it would help her, or make it worse!?
I just want to do the right thing and was wondering if someone here maybe been through something similar and has some experience they could share.
Thank you.
I'd highly appreciate it.
edit: I did ask his mum if she wants me to bag up all his stuff in the car and she said to "just throw it all out."
