Looking for operatic hard techno bangers

Looking for operatic hard techno bangers

I wanna run a nice noisy operatic set. I think the perfect example of what I am looking for is something like this :

Naeleck & le Shuuk - Dies Irae https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XnTjcJgI5k

Or perhaps Gabry Ponte, Maddix - Hellfire Extended Mix

Any pointers or bangers ? : )

Thanks in advance!

In a rut and want something different ?

This is my experience and I'm just posting in case someone's in a similar position. I suspect many of us are.

Love DJing, yada yada. None of my friends are into it enough to hang around while I do, so it kinda became a thing I'd do when I felt like it. I'd usually only mix to record a set to upload it to mixcloud or wherever and 90% of the time they'd sit at zero views .. I still had fun but y'know. Not hugely interested in chasing live work at home, I'm mid 50s and while I'd love to go clubbing .. Hi fellow kids!

So I decided I've give streaming on twitch a go. Firstly my mates with lives can listen in at home, and if you get lucky, you'll score a few viewers. Joined in watching some locals on their streams, ended up joining a couple of discords. Met some really cool people and heard some bangin' tunes.

A week or two later you'll find a couple of regulars at least drop in when you're live, and they'll react to your music. It's not a live crowd but hey it's as close as I'm gonna get alone in my garage lol.

Suddenly I'm mixing at least 2 hours a day and having a ball (last night was 3 hours of DnB then an hour of Gammer/Technikore. Not posting this to promote myself - just purely as an option to switch things up a bit. I've had a ton of fun with it maybe you will too.

Phone call related slightly oddball tracks

Hey all - I'm hoping to find some tracks that are related to phone calls in some way - whether call audio, DTMF or dial tones, whatever. Ideally chill-ish and house-like but I'll look at anything. I don't think Joe Satriani's "The Phone Call" would work, cool as it is.

2 tracks in the right sort of vein :

Mrs Wood - Ring Piece. Claude VonStroke - Wrong Number.

Music-finding subreddit

I recall reading a response to a question in the last week-ish where someone was looking for songs fitting some fairly specific criteria. One comment mentioned a subreddit for just that - so while I'm happy to get suggestions here .. I saw the name - thought awesome that looks great and then forgot to sub to it. It's not in the sidebar.

If I were looking for songs I'd describe as "house / adjacent with a weird side about phone calls" or could be used in one such as

  • Mrs Woods' "Ring Piece" or
  • Claude VonStroke's "Wrong Number"

.. where would be a good sub to ask ?

Chain weirdness after period of storage.

2018 Triumph Tiger XCA 800. Hey all .. got a new chain about 1500Km / 6 months ago. Didn't adjust it until later than I should have the first time (probably around 400km). Then I got the Rocket so it's kinda sat and been ridden once since mid Feb. The chain needed adjusting again. I lubed it before it was last ridden.

So today I figured I'd adjust the chain. Have moved the bike but not far in that time (mostly back and forth a few feet). Went to check the chain and it was really tight. That was unexpected given last time I'd looked at it it needed adjusting as it would best be described as 'floppy'.

So I rolled it back a couple of feet and checked it - as loose as I expected. Rolled it forwards about the same distance and it was really tight.

So I put it on a Dynamoto stand (on bobbins) and spun the wheel a bit looking for the master link so I could keep track of where I was up to.. got it horizontal on the rear sprocket rotated the wheel and repeatedly pushed the chain up looking for a tight spot. I have not yet re-checked the chain off the stand but I can't find a tight point in the chain now.

The difference was 'way too loose' to 'way too tight', so it seems unlikely that the geometry's changed enough for the tautness to be absorbed somewhere. If I press down on the seat (eg I put half a case of beer on the seat .. typical Aussie) it doesn't seem to make the chain tighten.

Theoretically I've only moved the bike back and forward so I can get the Rocket out. Is it possible I just had a link stiffen until it'd gone around the sprocket or something (even being new) ? However I did back it out to wash it last weekend but it has been pretty cold and wet here (10c).

If not what should I look for ? Links all look fine, no links seem stiff. Just easier not to take it off the stand and put it back on so I figured I'd ask if anyone had any thoughts on it before I poke around. I'm reluctant to tighten it until I can work out why I had the tight spot for obvious reasons.
