What do I do with this?

Photos are of the back of the house, so at least it isn't the front of the place but damn it's ugly.

It is a walkout basement, garage on one side laundry and storage on the other. Steps up to the living are about 3 ft off of that wall and more or less centered in the house, so I can't really move the person door. Well, maybe, but it's getting adventurous to try it.

What do I do to make my house look respectable? Budget is in the thousands maybe but not in the tens of thousands.

What it sounds like.

Newer cells have way more power density. Anyone using them in a Volt? I think some Leafs have upgraded capacity packs available. Anyone done, heard about or seen anything similar for a PHEV?

This is probably a dumb question but damned if I know the answer, so here we go:

Why TF am I looking at a set of plans where north is pointed down and to the left?

Flip this POS 183 degrees or whatever and run your stationing however you need to - but this North = S 3* W business is pretty annoying to work with as I'm reviewing for monument preservation and easements. There's got to be a reason - it was more work to make this twisted than it would have been to do the plans as God intended.

So... why not run this thing right side up?

I'm 6'1 / 188 cm, 210 lbs / 95 kg. 42 years old, just back into weights over the last year. I want to build muscle and strength - thinking 3 plate squat and 4 plate deadlift. That's ~ 300 lbs on the bar.

I have a lifting belt on the way. My back isn't the best.

Form OK, or do I need to fix some things?

It's pretty much like the title says. I do mean physical intimacy, if that wasn't clear.

I am not complaining and I don't ever pressure her towards anything that doesn't feel right for her. I do kind of miss the way it was when we first started dating but I recognize that A.) that's new relationship energy and B.) she's (physically) pulling back because love doesn't feel safe to her. Which is just, fuck, that's just so damn sad to me. She's a wonderful person. Nobody deserves what her life was like and nobody deserves to be happy more than her.

So, how can I help her feel emotionally safe now that we're serious? What are some things that have helped ya'll?

The old standard is 1/2/3/4 plates for overhead press, bench press, squat and deadlift. Where's your back in that list, though?

I get that DL is back as well as legs but is there a benchmark for say, barbell or t-bar row the way there is for these other lifts?

Hey folks,

I'm insulating / sheet rocking under the floor joists to isolate noise in the basement.

There are a number of vents, pipes and drains running from the bathroom on the first floor down into the basement, though. I either can't or feel that I shouldn't sheet rock all the way around them and bury the pipes, both for maintenance and for potential rot. I also don't want to put absorbent fiberglass insulation underneath any pipes that might leak onto it. It's an old house. None of this is "if", just "when".

My best guess so far is to use green glue and shower enclosure backing panel directly under the subfloor in the areas where I can't sheetrock under the joist and then caulk any gaps from that shower panel to the pipes themselves. I can also insulate above the pipes and leave it open beneath them.

Any other ideas here?
