Work In Progress Map of Faerûn set in 1501 Dalereckoning

UPDATE: For some reason Reddit sometimes kills the resolution of the included maps in my posts. I posted the "included in post" maps in the comments. They uploaded there just fine. Wish I knew why. I uploaded the exact same maps. They seem to work on mobile though.

A lot of you have been following my progress on this project. Which is an update to the amazing Mike Schley map of Faerûn. What I have done is taken his blank super hi-res version and added my own symbols, roads and locations. I included all that he had plus so much more. I had to make the font much smaller to get things to fit. This project has been going on for quite some time and when I feel like I am nearing the end I find more. I still have a lot of things I want to do with this map.

I have been scouring all the official sources I can find to update and make this map the most current and accurate Faerûn map out there.

Please look it over and let me know what I have wrong, and what I am missing. I want to share this with the community. I have included a Political map and a 24 Mile Hex map. Here are the links to higher-res maps. Once done, I will share the super high-res version.

Normal Map:

I am working on adding undersea cities and locations. I am also thinking of adding depth to all of the large bodies of water.

Political Map: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gIVQ4AN2DhYP0vB0HpGQCzchYMieVY4i/view?usp=share_link

This map includes nations, kingdoms, realms, spheres of influence, monster territories and tribal lands.

24 Mile Hex Grid Map: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lxndeIS1ueMQIQ06tAovmeoxYS1AkOb8/view?usp=share_link

I went with 24 mile hex because of the size of the map.

Prep for the Undersea Realms of the Sea of Fallen Stars

This is my prep for including the undersea realms of the Sea of Fallen Stars on my map. I have included my source images. My source material is pre-spellplague. So if my map is based in 1501 DR, how different should it be? I don't know that there is much material about the undersea realms post Second Sundering. Let me know what you think I should include. Should it be pretty much the same as pre-spellplague?

Thought I would try to compile the 1990 Atlas. This is from the PDF. Not the best but pretty cool. I got sick of just see snippets online and I just like to see things in their whole. So, here you go.

So the project continues. I am not sure it will ever end, but we are getting closer. Most things are labeled and the roads are coming along. I have tried to keep this to canon, but even canon has contradictions. So I had to make some calls. Also, I have made quite a few physical changes to the original map by Mike Schley, which was amazing to start with. The largest of those changes is the Great Glacier. Others of note, Black Ash Plain, Aglarond Peninsula(added more rivers and swampland), Shaar (Shaar river flowing underground, more rivers from a 3.5 source book, not a perfect arch to the Landrise, western Landrise a slope instead of a cliff) and lots of other small tweaks. The ultimate goal is to create a map that best represents Fearûn in the year 1501 Dalereckoning, Year of the Shining Mythal.

I have truly enjoyed learning so much about Fearûn and I have really enjoyed learning from all of your comments. Here is a link to a much higher-res(just under 200MB) version of the map. When I am done, if that day actually comes, I will share a 500MB+ version. It looks amazing.

What is up with all the extra rivers? This is from the Shining South setting book from 3.5e, I believe. It has, by my count, 4 rivers that do not show up in any other map. These rivers are not even mentioned in the book, they are only shown on the map. None of them come up in the FR Wiki as well. Should I add them to the map I am working on or just ignore them, like the rest of the world. I guess the artist from the book had fun, but the writers just ignored them.

Here is my update to Mike Schley's Official Faerûn map just showing The Border Kingdoms region. He put out a more detailed map of the Border Kingdoms in 2020. A lot of the info comes from that map and Ed Greenwoods Campaign setting book from the same time. I don't have everything and might add more.

A major change to the region is that I got rid of The Landrise that was in the eastern edge of this map. For some reason on Mike Schley's original Faerûn map he has two Landrise locations. And that drove me nuts, seeing how there is only one, dividing the Shaar in half. Or at least in all the descriptions I can find, there is only one Landrise.

Let me know what you think. Should I add anything else? Any suggestions or things to change. I still need to do some cleanup on the edge of the Shaar. I also added the Neth Peaks and Dragonmount Crag. I am not sure I like how Shantal ended up but I was trying to match the description of the ringed farms. Here is a link to a little higher-res version.

As part of my on going endeavor to create a more perfect map of Faerûn based in the current WOTC official timeline, 1501 DR. I decided the Great Glacier was very much lacking in Mike Schley's map. Here is my try. Here is a link to a hi-res version.

I still need to clean it up by blending all the assets and other general maintenance. But I really like how it turned out. Thanks for all the input from previous posts.
