Red/Black Flag ML Recommendations (preferrably Manhwas)

I’m looking for Red/Black Flag ML or Antagonist recommendations (i don’t mind whether the MC end up with them or not).

So far I’ve read:

- For Your Murder

- Who is the Prey?

- Vengeance Named Love (Try Begging)

- Swan Grave

- To the One Without Virtue (For You Moralless)

- Run Away, From Me

- Dreaming Freedom

Any recommendations close to these would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you :)

What’s the worst Yandere you’ve come across?

And by worse I don’t mean like the most ruthless or devoted, I mean a Yandere that you couldn’t root for because he’s just a bad person instead of a Yandere.

I’ll start: Asherad from Escape Me, If You Can. And before you ask, no i’m not a puritan. I’ve rooted for some of the most evil Yanderes and I don’t mind non-con. I love Vaye from Moralis Scandal, The Prosecutor from For Your Moralless, Inseop from For Your Murder Cesar (Ruby’s brother) from HTWMHO and the Marquis from Swan Grave. I love it when Yanderes kill everyone and everything around the FL, or when they ruin her loved ones lives. I don’t have moral standards when it comes to reading Yandere stories, but Asherad is genuinely one of the worst Yanderes i’ve ever come across. I hate that MF so much. Not only does he spend the entire novel treating the FL like a disposable dog, he doesn’t seem to care about her at ALL (and that’s a massive turn-off for me). He never defended her from his step-mom or the maids in his palace, allowed him to humiliate her but the moment she complains and ask him to dismiss the maids he kills one of them? In front of her eyes? Just to traumatise her? After she begged him not to? He blamed her for his parents’ not loving him, he blamed her for her mom’s past, not to mention the amount of times he raped her and it’s not even raping in the sense that he desires her, he was doing it while toying with her and her feelings. He doesn’t allow her to be happy for a single minute. He kept saying he wishes she would smile around him and THEN there was this one time where she was smiling genuinely around him because she was enjoying a new hobby: painting and then he goes: yeah you can’t paint anymore because it’s distracting you from me. And this is even typical “ I wanna be around you all the time “ Yandere behavior, that man makes her spend all day 24/7 by his side, he just wanted her to be miserable and wanted her to stop smiling even though 2 days earlier he said he wishes she would smile more around him. I honestly couldn’t stand him at all and it doesn’t help when the FL is a brainless bird who doesn’t even have Stockholm syndrome she’s just too weak and cowardy to leave.

I tried to drop the manhwa but I wanted to rage-bait myself and just binge read the whole thing (it’s still on-going) and it only got worse by the end.

Anyways if you enjoy this dynamic (no judgement, full respect we all have different tastes) then you’re in for a good read. But generally I don’t recommend this at all because stories like For Your Moralless do this trope a lot more justice, specially when the FL is genuinely interested in the Yandere and doesn’t stay with him just bc she’s an air-head (Kim Tae-ri you are an icon and I love you, Daphne could never be you).

Sorry for the long rant I just hate Asherad and hope he rots in hell. Looking forward to your opinions and your worst Yandere reads!

Looking for recommendations for “I will ruin your entire world to have you” trope

Basically the title!

I’ve read so many manhwas with Yanderes and I’ve found myself very intrigued by the “I will ruin your entire world to have you” kind of MLs/SMLs. Basically any manhwas where the ML or even secondary ML makes elaborate plans to ruin the FL’s life so she would have no choice but to be with him. Basically where he goes to extensive lengths like ruining or killing her family or tying her to him through blackmail or emotional manipulation. Basically anything.

My favorite MLs/SMLs that fit this trope:

- Damian from Betrayal of Dignity.

- Vaye from Moralis Scandal

- Heinier from My Beloved Oppressor

- Park Chigyeong from For Your Moralless

- Oh Inseop from For Your Murder

I’d appreciate any recommendations close to those. It doesn’t matter whether it’s manhwas, mangas, novels, even K-Drama or foreign shows or movies. Anything that will guarantee me a good read or watch!

I don’t need any trigger warnings btw and I don’t mind non-con in art so feel free to give me any recommendations no matter how triggering they are. (though the less smut the better but I don’t mind smut either)

Thank you so much. Hoping to wake up to lots of recommendations!

Finally 😍 Chapter 14! [Endless Yearning ]

Finally Kihyun is smiling at Doyoung and they’re getting closer 😍 though their main connection is still Gaon but this feels like a huge step.

Kihyun is feeling comfortable around Doyoung and smiling at her, and he took Doyoung to a restaurant to thank her because Gaon told Kihyun that it was thanks to Doyoung carrying the keyring that he gifted her that she realised how much he cared about her.

Gaon was taking care of her grandma and on her way out she saw Kihyun and Doyoung hanging out. It seems from her face expression that she got upset/anxious/maybe jealous (?).

So excited for the next chapters. From what it seems Kihyun has a plan of using Doyoung to get closer to Gaon and make her realise that he’s the only one that’s there for her (yandere style) but he will fall for Doyoung in the process. I can’t wait for the whiplash he will go through once he loses whatever trauma-bonding shallow feelings he has for Gaon and realises how hard he’s fallen for Doyoung.

What could possibly happen that will lead Kihyun to lose feelings for Gaon and become obsessed with Doyoung (MC) ? - [Endless Yearning]

I NEED YOUR THEORIES.

I have been enjoying reading Endless Yearning a LOT, to the point where i wish it was completed so i can binge-read it instead of waiting a week for updates, it's driving me crazy.

So according to the 2L (the author and illustrator of the manhwa), the adult arc that features the art in the first picture will start at around chapter 20, and in the art we can clearly see that Doyoung overcame her timid nature and adopted a baddie persona with tattoos, multiple ear piercings, bold makeup etc. And Kihyun seems to be pathetically yearning for her, so we can safely assume that the adult arc will be the start of Kihyun's endless yearning as the school arc was just a prologue to the story.

The author also said that Gaon will have less screen-time during the adult arc, and that Doyoung and Kihyun's jobs would be a big spoiler. So now i'm curious about how the story will develop further.

So I need your theories:

  1. How will the school arc end?

  2. What could possibly happen that will lead Kihyun to lose feelings for Gaon?

  3. What will lead Kihyun to start obsessing over Doyoung instead, specially after he spent a long time despising her?

  4. What could make Doyoung lose interest in pursuing Kihyun?

  5. Can these events connect to Gaon?

  6. Will the friendship between either the MC or Kihyun with Gaon end? Is this why she's getting less screentime? Or will something more tragic happen?

Looking forward to hearing all your theories :D !!!! I can't wait for the adult arc !

Doyoung is painfully relatable

Doyoung - Endless Yearning

i'm on chapter 3 of endless yearning and so far i LOVE everything about the manhwa. i finally found something good to read after a long search. but so far i'm struggling with continuing to read the story because doyoung is so relatable it makes me want to bang my head against the wall (and let me say, the author is brilliant for this). i made the same embarrassing decisions doyoung made as a teenager when i had a crush on the bad boys i went to school with that makes me struggle with continuing to read the manhwa bc i literally feel like i need to take a walk of fresh air after every panel. the part where doyoung gave kihyun the gift was alreadz bad but then her gift ended up in the trash and that was the nail on the coffin for me and now i struggle to read past chapter 3 bc it simply feels too triggering lol.

sorry if this feels like a random meaningless post but i really wanted to rant about this somewhere so pardon me, but does anyone feel the same way? and if anyone is up to date with the weekly releases does it get better for doyoung or worse? should i wait til the chapters where the ml regrets his actions and start pathetically yearning for the fl's affection drop or just read and enjoy the chapters weekly? and do we know when these chapters are gonna come bc so far it feels like its gonna be a long wait.....

thank you so much!

Anyone upset that they kind-of ruined Brenda’s character with that cheating plot over nothing?

Hi! I realise that i’m late to the conversation but I just finished binge watching Young Sheldon today (best ride of my life) and it’s very upsetting to me how they ruined Brenda’s character for nothing. If they didn’t have the courage to continue the cheating plot to the end (which i’m glad they didn’t, it was out-of-character of George to cheat or attempt to cheat and no idrc about the canon in BBT) then why have us go through all that unnecessary drama and ruin Brenda & Mary’s friendship? They had such a sweet sisterhood dynamic going on and they just ruined it for a “cheating” plot that didn’t even happen and didn’t make sense at all. Also that bar hangout was overdramatised for nothing. George drinking with Brenda was wrong, yes, absolutely, but he was uncomfortable with Brenda’s request. Like the face he made at the bar wasn’t the face of someone who said “oh yes i wanna go home and cheat on my wife with you” but the face of someone who was weirded out by that request and realised that sitting at a bar with a stranger woman was wrong. And they just kept carrying out that plot for 2 seasons with unnecessary drama and George’s random “crush” on Brenda (what the heck was even that?!) and even added an unnecessary character (Pastor Rob) to the mix just to never follow through it and it just made the watch kind of unbearable to me. They could’ve stuck with the retcon since the beginning and gave George and Mary other issues to work through in their marriage (bc boy they had many) rather than “cheating”. I also don’t like how they added Pastor Rob to make George’s probability of cheating more acceptable to the audience. George is a family man who had the opportunity to walk out with no consequences so many times yet he didn’t so him risking the peace of his family for a lady he didn’t even seem THAT attracted to since he was clearly jealous of Pastor Rob‘s closeness to Mary multiple times didn’t make sense at all.

Young Sheldon was a perfect show for me up until that cheating plot. I get that the retcon was probably a last minute thought since George was getting more love than they anticipated but they should’ve done it way before rather than ruin Brenda’s character and George’s as well. Food for thought.

“I know it’s wrong but… I still love you.” 🥲
The way Inseop knew that Gijeong loving him would be morally wrong yet he still wanted her to love him even if it’s in his deepest fantasises. “Teacher, in my dream, you were a murderer, but I still loved you. Please, love me too…”
I cried along reading the final sequence this is just heartbreaking.
I can’t believe For Your Murder is over for good.

So the side story parallel universe turned out to be one of Inseop nightmares where he ended up in Gijeong’s position. I definitely didn’t see that coming.
And we got a final POV from INSEOP as a letter😭 I honestly cried because I didn’t expect this at all.

Translation of the letter:

To my beloved teacher, I had a dream. It was a version of me, different from who I am now, confessing my love to you… and you killing someone for my sake. In the dream, you were a murderer, but even so, I still loved you. Please, love me too.

Flashback; Inseop to Gijeong: You shine Gijeong, so don’t let anyone treat you carelessly.

The letter burned and Gijeong never got to read it 🥲.

As much as I hated the ending initially, this side story ending feels like a closure to me. I’m forever gonna be sad that FYM was taken away so soon from us, and so suddenly, but this side story ending really made me feel things i’ve never felt before reading a manhwa, and it gave me a new perspective.

We know Inseop is selfish, so he would never kill himself because he couldn’t own Gijeong. But the flashback proves a new theory. Inseop was eliminating all the threats, or as he sees them “bugs”that were treating Gijeong carelessly, from the mom that he saw as an abuser to her brother that he saw as a leech, but in the end at that moment he came to a realisation that he was treating Gijeong as carelessly as everyone else, he chained her, emotionally abused her and almost killed her. He became the bug that was threatening his flower, so he eliminated himself. I think this perspective is beautiful. I’m so glad we got an Inseop POV no matter how short it is.

Goodbye, For Your Murder. You will be very missed.

P.S: love my boy Inseop but sleeping on the bed while letting her sleep on the floor is crazy… give her the damn bed 🙄
