Pencils are not very good

Hello, I feel like most apps now use Apples own PencilKit UI and I always loved apples pens. However, Noteful both lacks the variety of pencils and also I don’t like the pens offered. Honestly that could be my only issue with the app. We need smoother pens, these pens make my hand writing look bad. I have tried several pen settings, some are better but still not in the caliber of the other apps. Its laggy, has a weird smoothening, shapes don’t come out right… What do you all think?

Siri with AirPods Head Gestures notification

Today I got a notification if I want to enable head gestures for Siri on my Mac. I clicked on enable too fast before reading the whole thing. Has anyone else received the same notification and know how it works? I checked Siri and AirPods settings but couldn’t find anything

I think Apple’s mistake is to try to make all platforms coherent whereas what works for iPhones don’t work for MacOS

Hear me out. I have been realizing that some UI elements that I love on my iPhone, I hate on my iPad or Mac and vice versa. And the reason is those devices are not supposed to work the same way and Apple trying to make them work the same way is a mistake.

Liquid Glass is the best example. It works for iPhone and iPads, but on Mac doesn’t even make sense. UI elements are not as interactive on MacOS, so it just makes things harder to read. And to solve that issue, Apple is removing progressive top bar, but not only from Mac, from all platforms!

I think each OS should have its own identity based on what they are designed for, and consequently their differences. Trying to force them work the same way simply doesn’t work!

Just got the new Siri after 12 days and it’s actually really good

My device is 15 pro, indexing had finished last week. I tried giving a feedback method, after an hour or so I got the notification. Probably its a coincidence but here you go.

So far I used visual intelligence, worked nice. And asked when I am meeting my friend which we have our chat in a different language and Siri was still able to pickup the correct messages and gave me the correct time and location.

I am loving some of the new features: shortcut for nutrition content and safari describe extensions

I tried safari describe extensions for dark mode and creating interactive recipe formatting (swipable cards and checklists for each step) and it works great. I am super impressed. Must try feature!

And also I created this shortcut where you take a pic of your food and it estimates and then logs calorie/fat/protein/carb content to your health app. I am still on the waitlist for Siri AI but these work just fine.

Ruin it with os26 and then don’t give the fix to older devices

Its pretty annoying that they ruin the devices with a floppy update and then when they finally have a fix for that they dont release it to those devices. My series 7 will run buggy battery draining os26 forever. I don’t want the ai stuff but at least we could have gotten the optimizations that come with os27.
