I am looking for another car and I like the panthers bodies because I have long legs and I love the leg room. I am no mechanic but I want to ask what things I need to look out for on these cars. Thanks .
2006 Buick Lucerne series 3 3800. Bought it at 105,000 and currently sitting at 125,600. I have never changed the transmission fluid. It’s always shifted fine, no slipping, jerking, and it grabs gears just fine. I know the transmissions they paired with the 3800’s were finicky, being it’s been fine so far, should I change the fluid ? Or continue driving it normal until it has issues ?
- for context I mainly drive highway miles and very rarely drive the city unless I have to. I try to not launch it unless I have to, I’m very easy on it .

Dealt with it since I was about 19 yo. Got an mri years ago and it showed left side labrum tear. Didn’t want to get surgery so I just kept active and learned to live with it, doc said just strengthen surrounding muscles. I recently decided to get another mri and it showed left torn labrum and mild displasia and hip impingement. I took my scans to the surgeon and he said because of my age and it being so mild he didn’t want to do surgery because there’s a high chance it will make my pain worse. He said the right side is probably torn too. I’ve pretty much just learned to live with it after all these years. It does affect me in a lot of my daily tasks but it’s not like unbearable. What are some good strengthening exercises that don’t Involve a lot of hip flexion ?
I’ve just learned to live with my pain over the years after multiple attempts at going to the doctors and all of them blowing me off. I’ve had 2 ultrasounds in the past and both showed epididymitis. Recently I decided to give it another shot and got someone to order me a CT scan and it showed a borderline enlarged prostate. I’ve tried pelvic floor PT and got very little success. That being said would any of you recommend taking alpha blockers or any medication to treat this ? And what is your experience with it ?
I may have to have surgery to repair a torn labrum possibly on both hips hopefully not. Been an on going things for years now but it’s starting to cause me pain when driving now so I’m just gonna bite the bullet and take the surgery.
Are there any Linehaul guys here that have had this surgery done before ? How long were you out ? I know the recovery time can be a long process possibly over a year and I’m worried being out of work too long because the fact that lifting the con-dolly puts a lot of weight on those joints.
I will be 25 this year and have been a truck driver for a little over 3 years. I love being a driver, I run LTL Linehaul during the night and I’m home daily and make very good money for my age. Recently I have been concerned about the toll that sitting all day take on your body, literature says that sitting is one of the absolute worse things we can do for our bodies. You literally never get any exercise, and it can cause serious complications for our health. Before I got my CDL I was also looking at going to a trade school to become an Electrician.
I have a local community college that offers excellent programs for all kinds of trades. I could pay cash for the program and wouldn’t need financing.
Ive always liked working hands on and figuring things out.
At my stage would it be smarter to go complete a trade school program or start an apprenticeship program ? Any advice is appreciated, thanks
