BITS Placement

I posted this image from BITS Goa Orientation last year yesterday and few BITS guys said that these figures did not include PS2 PPOs. So want to understand how exactly BITS arrive at these figures.

The image shows that students "registered" for placement was 241 and "placed" was 232. Do they, who r on the narrative that PS2 PPOs r not included, mean that at the time of preparation/publication of these figures, those students who were undergoing PS2 were not included in "students registered for placements"? Or those who actually got PPOs were originally registered but later removed from this "registered" figure after they got PPOs? Or something else? How exactly is this "registered" figure arrived at?

Regarding another controversy

People who r not doing anything worthwhile should not create fake scandals/controversy as it affects real issues.

Curiousity

This post is bcoz someone's reply to a post by u/blacklotus_3000 in r/jeeadv25dailyupdates seeking suggestions choosing between different programs. The person suggested to go through the course structure and take what looks good/of interest. I've read similar suggestions from multiple users and wondered that could a 18-19 year old school (just left) kid understand the program & course structure and can actually understand that he would like some of those courses at his age and exposure... Or maybe I was that dumb at that age !!

Anyways, below there are links to few courses offered by IITs

Btech in EE IIT Delhi

BS Maths IIT Bombay

BTech in MnC IIT Guwahati

Aspirants seeking admission this year, can you understand the course structure and gauge what would be taught in the courses (Semester 3 onwards) over 4 years?
