The best flight ever

Used my miles to upgrade me and my fiancee into First class for the first time, and my expectations where fully blown. The staff is so personal and well trained it was well worth the 140k in miles.

Best part we got to see FP3 of Formula 1 live.

new Lounge in FRA

The new Lounge in FFM is really nice and super polished, the staff is really helpful and kind.

They do Cocktails and fresh coffee and there is a large live cooking Station.

The Dolder Grand

The Dolder Grand

Zurich

The Dolder sits on a mountain near Zurich, and described itself as a Urban Resort.

The Hotel is not linked to a chain and operates mostly independent.

The rooms are not the newest but well maintained.

The Spa is large and gets you everything from pool to whirlpool to saunas and thermal tubs.

The breakfast is one of the best in europe, only the coffee could be better.

The service on the other hand is professional but very cold, there are also many young people that change a lot.

Other than that it's my go to when i'm in zurich since the Baur au lac doesnt have a spa that challenges the one of the Dolder.

The Fontenay Hamburg

One of the best Hotels in Germany (maybe the best city hotel), been there many times and the service and location are always spot on.

Price is around 450€ with breakfast when booked with FHR.

First upgrade possible

Hi, we have a upcoming flight in july fra-dxb-sin and back (Business saver) and since it's my birthday i'm curious if there are any chances to upgrade to first (after check in opens) on one leg, or is this route in heavy first use ? Otherwise i would leave my MR points on my amex account.

Thanks for the help.
