I’m just curious. I say ”Ant” that’s how I’ve always said it from Ohio. moved to New England and I learned that everyone here says “Auwnt”

what is your first word association when someone says ‘Ant’? is it like an instant realization you’re speaking with an outsider?

I never realized that as a new englander you almost always know if someone is from your region or not.

adding the “Mary, Merry, Marry” thing. And you probably can slightly hear a difference in other words

the boards of Canada listening event was literally the only time I truly felt like i was with ‘my people’

I feel like such an outsider everywhere. and whatever all linked us together real separates us. everyone was kind of weird too but also seemed to have this appreciation for art, life, music

I moved here two years ago. for the first time in working in Boston and having reasons to be in NYC

whet are your ‘hacks’ for making trips into the cities easy?

im from ohio. so it’s been a lot of adjusting.

my current hack is always bringing less. you’ll never go into the city and say “I wish I brought more with me”. bare minimum depending on weather.

Bare essential. phone charger, AirPods, cards. Don’t bring extra clothes if you can help

many artists forget that they aren’t that creative. hard to accept that you aren’t this magic artist and instead a lucky attractive singer

pop stars that can ’era curate’ are rare

example: Harry Styles’ new era didn’t perform well. Harry mistook his success as his own “genius”

Harry forgot he was successful because of good looks. x factor > boy band > keen solo career. At no point did “curating an era” get him to where is was. he had tv show/boy band to launch the career. good solo music, had good label marketing. of course the artistic risk failed. he did not build this massive career off being creative.

same with Miley. Miley was great voice > Disney show > controversy >singing career.

Taylor Swift became huge because she made great albums in the first place.

Example: Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Madonna, Charli xcx and more prove to be good album “era curators”

being able to be aware of your audience, their expectations and how to subvert expectations while delivering is a skill only few pop stars have.

Labels can help. but no label is truly going to care. For artists like Katy, Miley and Harry. listening to your label IS the way.

I spent a good portion of this year with the plan to move to a state.

it’s a long long story. I lived near by for a bit. I went all the time. i thought a certain city was my dream city/location

i tried it out for this summer for a month. interviewed for jobs, almost got a job. but after 2 weeks I 100% knew it wasn’t right for me. and moved on

dont get me wrong. I love it still, I love everything about it. I think I just loved visiting, where living it’s a totally different thing

i unfortunately learned I had other priorities that didn’t match. it’s been 3 months later and I’m still 100% confident to not live there. i feel kind of weird even that I thought it was right for me

i put so much on the line just for an opinion to change. Which is apart of the process. And I’m happy I know this now at least

I’m actually at a loss for words for how amazing this album is.

People were hesitant to praise it. but this album is clearly a 10 to me

after enough time with it. I’m finally getting the message. And it’s beyond incredible and I don’t even think I have the entire message.

i played it in May like all of us. I agreed it wasn’t above their classics but recently I sat down to really go through it again. It’s got so many details I didn’t even know

everyone acted like it was step down from MHARTC and Geogaddi. (MHARTC and Geogaddi both 10s)

but Inferno is absolutely a continuation of these 10 albums. An innovative electronic world.

Cult imagery is the biggest one in the marketing.

I can see it being Apocalyptic, Cult, Future, Death, The Meaning of Life, and the universe

I feel like this album is about the entire history of the universe? and humanity. and you go through humanity’s interpretation of the unknown

no offense, love Gaga. But I might say Mayhem. They gave it a 8.0 and I might actually bring it down to a 6.8

in retrospect it didnt really age well. Repeating a previous era in pop is always redundant. Even if the music is enjoyable. It doesn’t really have staying power

Any score really. it doesn’t have to be super low. i guess if there’s a 8.0 that you think should be a 10 that counts too

I am new to arcteryx and I can’t help but notice this is a huge brand for people that are Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

I think that’s cool obviously. I’m just curious if there’s any reason in particular this brand speaks so well to consumers from these countries?

I’ve been doordashing for around 3-4 years. These last months are crazy. I used to be able to pay rent with dash

the expectations vs the pay is absolutely insane. in the last 6 months I’ve been getting so many “$5” for 6 mile orders.

there’s this weird dynamic of people look down on us, yet expect so much and yet pay us shit. for a complete luxury

we risk tickets in uncertain parking. unsafe driving, for $5.

imagine if we all stop all of these people would realize how important we are.

my favorite part of New England is that there’s tons of cute towns that are notable and warrant going to see.
