I heard that it's "punk" to join a monastery. Only after years of prayer and rejecting all earthly desires did I realize I misheard: it's "MONK" to join a monastery. Can I still be punk if I've broken the cycle of death and rebirth?

Definitely infected, what do I do ?!?

Got my helix pierced like 3 days ago, didn't notice this until now. Pretty sure it happened today. Basically just a pocket of pus on my outer ear right above the piercing 🥴 Dont pay too much attention to how red my ear is, a bunch of red hair dye has been getting on it and im also pushing it down so both of those things are making it more red than it would be otherwise

It doesnt hurt or anything, but im obviously kinda freaked out. What can I do right now to fix/help this?

Chewing with snake bites?

Just got snake bites, so they haven't been downsized yet. They keep either rubbing against my teeth or straight up catching on the top of them when I chew. Any tips for how to adjust the way I chew? I've found that pursing my lips a little and taking really small & slow bites kinda helps. Lmk if I'm on the right track or if there's tech I'm not aware of

I also chew gum pretty much 24/7 cuz it helps with my ADHD, but the chewing issues I'm having so far are kinda worrying me about that. Should I find a new habit 🥴

Feeling 23 years old at 20

Just turned 20 today, many conflicting feelings.

Feelings of regret have plagued me all throughout my teen years, which has only led to more regret as I got older and realized I spent the years I had so much more time in regretting what I had given up instead of doing something to change. So many people who believe they're invisible are simply mistaken. I am not. I've fallen through the cracks so many times that, as much as I despise it, I feel more at home there than I have anywhere else in my whole life. Any attempt to be seen by anyone out there has ended in an embarrassing reminder of who I am: easily ignored.

I can't keep living like this, if you could even call it living. It's hardly living at all. Everything I do embarrasses me, and everything I don't do I regret.

I often spend these sorts of milestones & turning points thinking of how I can remold myself into a new person, but I realize now that I'll never be a new person. I'll always be me. But I can still become someone I want to be. I know now that I really do still have time, and that's all that matters. The only thing I can do wrong with that time is waste it lingering on my regrets and the few things I have to miss. I'm not a teenager anymore, I have to make something of myself. Not because the world demands it but because I want to.

I don't know. I just hope I can prove that I really mean what I say.

Book recommendations ?!

This is one of my favorite books, so I want to hear if y'all have any recommendations based off that. Totally lmk what you liked about the books you reccomend if you feel like it

More specifically in my case (if that helps w/ picking recommendations), I liked this book so much because of the characters (especially Richard & his narration). I thought their dynamics and flaws made them a very compelling group of people to read a story about

Any tips for getting dexcoms to stay on?

Sometimes adhesive just doesnt work on me. Don't know why. Maybe the lot has some sort of issue? The last two times I tried putting on my Dexcom it was like a half hour after taking a shower, but my skin wasn't wet anymore by the time I was putting it on, so idk

Not even gonna lie I was running late for work yesterday & it wasn't sticking after I put it on so I straight up superglued it on 💀 This has been happening to me a lot lately so I'd had enough
