How do I do mosaic crochet without right side looking funny?

Had my first go at mosaic crochet and did negative stitch stitch. I’ve found my wrong side looks much better than my right side. The right side you can see where I have double crocheted in the front loops more

First time doing Mosaic. Why does my wrong side look better than my right side?

First time doing mosaic crochet and decided to do negative stitch from the get go as I like the way it looks. For some reason though the front loops seem to stay stretched out when on the right side

Anyone got a SMH subscription and able to summarise their article?

My husband heard somthing on the radio on his way to work about Goodstart early learning banning school photos. I went to look it up and it’s behind a paywall on Sydney Morning Herald

What are some good small open cups?

My 12 month old seems to really want to drink out of open cups but I don't want to give her too much at once due to spilling.

We have the take and toss sraw cups but they are just too big, if you fill it so water is at the top it will liekely get dropped and water everywhere and iof you only put a little bit in the cup she has to tip the cup all the way to get any which can alo lead to spillage.

I used the cap of a baby bottle which was ok for amount of water but it wasstill just that little awkward of a shape.

Any tips for giving baby medicine?

Bubs can be hit or miss on if she will cooperate taking medication. She’s 12 months now and we’ve been given a course of antibiotics to do due to ear being inflamed when I got her checked out with the current childcare cold we have.

She also has a tooth coming through which I guess likely isn’t helping but of the three doses we have done so far the first she was good but the second and third we have had to force it down with her screaming and crying. Second dose I had dad with me but she spat out some of it. 3rd dose I was alone again but managed to get her to not spit it out

Has anyone tried the Anko water wipes?

Just saw today that Kmart has water wipes. Has anyone tried them and if so how were they?

We have been using the old version of the curash water wipes but know they are getting rarer to find now and we will likely want to shift what wipes we are using when we run out. J

Just want to know if they are a good option

Did you pump less when baby drank less from bottles?

Posted on r/breastfeeding but did not get many responses so I’m hoping to get a bit more advice. I pump while at work and nurse when I’m with baby.

I’ve been pumping since I went back to work when bubs was 7.5months. My husband had her until 10months when he went back to work and she started childcare. She will be 11 months next week.

When my husband had her she was drinking 3 x 120-130ml bottles. All depends on the pour. Sometimes it would end up one of the bottles would be 150-170ml.

Since she started childcare they have struggled to get her to drink her bottles. Thankfully because she has cold milk they are happy to keep reoffering the bottle rather than wasting a whole bottle when she only drinks 20ml. From what they record she will often take 3-4hours to go through 1 bottle and then usually the second bottle she will have all at once but they don’t even tend to get to the point of needing to offer the third bottle.

Should I take this as her starting to wean and pump less and not still aim to pump at least 360ml while I’m away from her? We are apart for about 8.5 hours and I often just feed her to sleep on the train home. She also cosleeps most of the night so I do think she is largely reverse cycled.

I seem to be adding more to my freezer each week is than we are using. I take 3 bags(-120ml each) on a Monday and when I freeze left overs at the end of the week I freeze 4-6 bags

My big concern is she is not drinking enough between milk and water. While she is still getting plenty wet nappies she doesn’t get as many heavy ones and we have also been having issues with poos for the last 2 months. She will go 3 days without pooing and then will cry when she goes.
