Hi everyone, this is our family’s first time going to LEGOLAND California, so I wanted to confirm before I buy the wrong thing.

We’re a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 kids. I bought an Elite Annual Pass for myself. Then I used the annual passholder hotel discount to book a stay at the LEGOLAND California Hotel, the one with the direct entrance to LEGOLAND.

The regular hotel package page says the hotel includes tickets, but I’m not sure if that only applies to the Hotel + Tickets Package. Since I booked through the Annual Pass hotel discount, I’m thinking it might be room-only, meaning my wife and two kids still need separate park tickets.

Can anyone who has booked this way confirm?

Do I need to buy separate LEGOLAND tickets for my wife and 2 kids, while I enter with my Elite Annual Pass? Also, are there any passholder benefits like Bring-a-Friend tickets or discounts that might help cover one of them?

I know the sub doesn't like solitaire game but here's a twist, I’ve been working on a solitaire game that blends classic Klondike with a narrative dating experience. It’s called Solitaire Classic Angel Dates and it’s out now on iOS. The pitch is basically: what if solitaire had stakes beyond just "did I clear the deck"?

What it is:

• 10 angel characters, each with 10 rounds of solitaire = 100 hands total
• Classic Klondike rules, but each win unlocks the next chapter of a date scene
• Branching intro/end scenes with voice acting, plus collectible skins/artwork as you progress
• Full voice acting
• Pixel art + space theme, 8 languages supported
• IAPs: Remove Ads, Auto-Play Boost, God Mode (if you just want the story)

Why solitaire? I wanted the card game to feel like the actual “dating” mechanic — you prove yourself hand by hand, and the story rewards patience and good play rather than just tapping through dialogue.

And I understand solitaire was spammed here a lot. What kind of one person card game would you like to see? I can update with a new type of card game, I just need a game mechanism to advance through the storyline. Again, any feedback is appreciated

I built Solitaire Angel Dates, a dating sim where you unlock story scenes by winning solitaire hands. 10 characters, voice acting, 8 languages. Here's what AI did and where I still had to get my hands dirty.

Art — Midjourney + free Gemini
AI did 100% of image generation. It nails mood and color but can't keep a character on-model across poses. It generates and stitches all the sprites

Code — Cursor (Claude) + Capacitor
Highest-leverage tool. I'm not a dev — AI let me build things that would've taken me months. It builds the solitaire game play. Caution: I had to restructure twice early on the story line because I let the AI make architectural decisions I didn't fully understand. After storing story branches in JSON, I can manually verify it myself.

Writing & translation — Claude
I wrote the original storyline by hand based on my fantasy haha, Claude wrote the conversation lines and added the humor. I added twist and turn here and there and Claude helped putting the storyline in the game.

Bottom line:
AI lowered every barrier. I still made thousands of decisions and hand-finished almost everything. It's a force multiplier, not a replacement.

The pixel art lives in a space setting with hand-painted scene illustrations for each date. As you progress you unlock collectible character skins and artwork. There are 8 supported languages: English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Indonesian, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

If you want to focus on the narrative without the card challenge, there's a God Mode option and an Auto-Play boost. No energy systems, no cooldown timers, no pay-to-skip mechanics.

The solitaire gives the story pacing a natural rhythm — you earn each scene rather than just tapping through text. It plays well in short sessions with natural pause points between hands.

Involvement:
