will airport security honor my x-ray film protector bags?

what do you all recommend for traveling internationally with film? I’ll be going through JFK airport in NYC, Munich, Berlin, and Mallorca Spain. I’m assuming they’ll flag the x-ray bag. I have no problems showing them and asking them to check by hand either way.

I’ll probably get film while in Germany, but on the way back I’ll have the used film to develop back in the United States.

using binoculars with my scleral lenses and i’m not able to focus both eyes

it’s my first time using my binoculars with my scleral lenses and i noticed i can’t adjust the focus for both eyes, but i can do one eye only. this is very sad because i love taking my binoculars out.

has anyone experienced this? i know you can’t focus up close with the lenses, but i’m not sure what the problem is with the binoculars.

thank you.

is this pigeon just plump or is something wrong?

the front/chest/stomach area is bulging quite a bit. i can’t tell if he’s just well fed or maybe has something going on?

edit: btw his name is Alamo

Robin’s nest but she’s been missing for days

I saw this robin nest last week. the following day she was panting which makes sense because we’re having a heat wave (90+ degrees F). i put out some water and food down lower on my patio. i usually feed the pigeons so there’s always food, but not usually water. i don’t think the robin drank any of the water and i haven’t seen her for days :(

did she abandon her nest? if there are eggs up there, are they still incubating properly in this heat? it’s too high up for me to see without a ladder and i don’t want to disturb it in case she’s coming back, but i can check and transfer the eggs to a wildlife organization if needed.

please let me know!!!
