57F mom has mild COPD - she has come done with respiratory infection one week before my wedding? Help!

I can’t imagine getting married without my mom there. I cannot reschedule or replan. It’s only a handful of us there but there were way too many moving parts to reschedule this all. She has a respiratory infection of some kind and she said her O2 has was 95 a few times today which is low for her. Her lungs hurt and she feels like they have fluid in them. She’s going to urgent care later. She has had pneumonia twice and she was extremely sick, but not hospitalized (however one of the times I think she should have been.)

I can’t believe this is happening one week before my wedding. It’s August which is not even a time where respiratory viruses spread.

What should I expect? She does not share a lot about her COPD with me - probably to not freak me out. Do you think she will be okay? Thanks everyone!

Dog sniffed/licked this dead animal on our walk. It was decomposing. I believe it was a bat. Does she need a rabies booster? Due for one in July at her physical.

I have read the FAQ. Yes I have OCD. Yes I have had to get rabies shots before because of a rabid bat in my house (yes it tested positive for rabies.) so I am very on edge about rabies and bats :)

Looking for someone to take film photos at our post wedding celebration on 8/22/26 in south shore, MA!

My fiance and I are getting eloping on 8/13 and have a formal wedding photographer, etc.

On 8/22 we are having a post wedding reception. It’s a vintage theme style party from 5pm - 9pm in south shore MA. Approx 150 people will be attending. We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking film photos! We would be happy to buy all of the film and do the post wedding editing and developing (we are photographers ourselves.) Just looking for someone to document the night and be comfortable with a film camera! Please message me if you’re interested or have any questions. :)

Keep waking up 30 mins-1 hour falling asleep so confused and disoriented and scared. What could cause this?

I, 29F have always been an amazing sleeper. I can sleep anywhere and nothing really phases me regarding sound, light, etc.

I have a history of anxiety, OCD and derealization at times from anxiety. I also have had an extremely stressful year with my worst OCD flare up a few months ago.

Over the last month, I keep waking up ~1 hour after falling asleep, completely confused and panicked because I don’t know who I am, where I am, or what’s wrong with me. I feel like I’m not real. I wake my fiance up each time and ask what’s wrong and if I’m okay and after 1-2 minutes I’m normal again. Does anyone know what this could be or if anyone experiences anything similar? I hate it so much and now I’m concerned about having other health issues or disorders.

I appreciate any insight. Thank you all!

My spayed female yellow lab has dealt with Lyme disease in the past. She has been treated and was symptomatic with fever, panting, etc. I don’t think her levels ever went back to normal but my vet didn’t want to continue with doxy long term.

A few weeks ago panting started again. My vet did blood work and all was normal except borderline anemia. She said it could be from tick illnesses and gave a 7 day dose of doxycycline to see if the levels went down.

Now she completed her dose and her anemia levels actually slightly worsened. Still very mild. Her panting continues. She eats drinks plays and goes to the bathroom normally. She is getting an X-ray of her chest and abdomen on Monday. The bloodwork was done yesterday. Got the results today.

Tonight I feel like I’ve observed slightly more labored breathing from her at rest. Like fast breathing and more panting than usual. I don’t know if I’m paying more attention to it due to her worse results, or maybe it’s always like this, I’m not sure tbh.

I’ve counted her breathing while sleeping and have gotten numbers 22/min, 30/min, 34/min, 40/min. So two normal readings and two high.

Is this an emergency? Or can I wait until my appointment Monday? Again she’s acting completely normal otherwise. Besides her panting of course. She is not panting in her sleep.

ALSO: vet listened to her lungs yesterday and did a quick physical exam and didn’t notice anything besides some ACL inflammation.
