Major Fire/Safety Hazard Identified with Creator 5 Pro

Elevated Maker Space has released a YouTube video documenting a VERY concerning fire/safety hazard with the Creator 5 Pro when using the chamber heater. Please be very careful folks!

See for yourself here:

Even though this mainly affects just the Pro version, the overall flawed design of the purge process is still highly problematic, even for the base model. Please watch the entire video and you will see what I’m talking about as he explains everything. A special thank you to Elevated Maker Space for making this video and keeping us informed with honest feedback.

On a personal note, I really thought this was gonna be FlashForge’s chance to step up into the big leagues and deliver a great printer. But I guess I was wrong. Due to this, I have canceled my pre-order and will not be buying any more FlashForge products for the foreseeable future. The fact that their engineers didn’t foresee this as a problem and didn’t catch it in testing speaks volumes to the type of company that they are. Very disappointing as I was really looking forward to this printer, as I’m sure many of you were too.

Puzzling error at the end of every print

Weird thing started happening on my U1 lately. At the end of the print I get this error shown in the pic. The print finishes fine - no issues there - but this error is popping up literally at the end of every print now. Is this happening to anyone else?

I’m using Orca Slicer, not Snorca. But I don’t think that matters. I’ve always used Orca and this error just started happening recently.

And I don’t have any toolhead/pogo pin issues any other times. Thousands of swaps so far and no issues. Can’t figure out why it’s throwing this error now though.

I haven’t been able to catch a print right when it’s finishing yet (so I can watch what’s happening), but when I come to the printer, the toolheads are all parked and the carrier is in the front left corner. Is this the same position of everything when prints finish for the rest of you? Or is a toolhead still attached when a print finishes for y’all?
