Masters Inquiry

I recently got admitted to MS in ADMU. I filled up my acceptance form and got as far as enlisting 2 course subjects during enrolment. However, I think I am not prepared yet and thinking not to continue. Do I have to inform the department about my decision? What could be the repercussions of not enrolling, will I be banned from taking the exam again next year if ever I decided to pursue masters?

MASTERS OR FOCUS ON MY CAREER

MASTERS OR CAREER GROWTH

Good day!

I’m a 25-year-old public sector employee. I started working immediately after graduating from a well-known university two years ago, and I can honestly say that my career has progressed faster than that of many of my peers.

I was initially hired at Salary Grade 11, promoted to SG 15 after a year, and then, only five months later, I was fortunate to be selected by an executive within the same department for an SG 20 position.

While I’m genuinely happy with where I am now, I’ve been thinking seriously about investing in myself by pursuing a master’s degree. My dilemma is that I’m also planning to apply for the next career ladder position, which could potentially move me to SG 22 before the end of the year.

I’m concerned that taking a master’s program at this stage might divide my attention and affect my performance, which could influence my boss’s decision regarding my promotion. At the same time, I don’t currently see myself spending my entire career in government. Once this administration ends, I may explore opportunities in the private sector to broaden my experience.

Given that context, I’m trying to determine whether pursuing a master’s degree now would be worth it. Would it significantly improve my chances of landing a strong position in the private sector, or would it be better to focus on securing the promotion first and continue building a strong professional track record that allows my experience and achievements to speak for themselves?

Aside sa pag-email sa Admissions com, may iba pa po ba kayong ginawa or hininging temporary alternative? Any advice or reassurance would mean a lot. Thank you so much!

Can I still reschedule my grad admission exam?

I was scheduled to take my exam on May 16 1:00 PM. However, I failed to access the exam as mettle cannot close 2 programs which required administrator permission (I was using company laptop).

Would like to ask if my exam can still be rescheduled or it's done and over? I am planning to borrow another laptop on my next attempt so this cannot happen again. I emailed them already but I want to have answers for my peace of mind please
